A beautiful day on the Lake. Stopped in on the way home from a week away at Smiths Lake with most of the Breakaways. Great to have Mike come up and meet us there too. An awesome way to round off the week. Flat as a tack water but a fair amount of weed. If only there was another 5 knots or so it would have been epic.

RRD XFire 90, KA Race 7.9. BP SPeed weed 31.

BELLISIMO!!

Lucky sail on the way home from our Breakaways week at Pacific Palms. Light but fun. Good to have Mike join us and catch up with the Smugglers. Nice conditions, warm and sunny and another 5 knots wouldve been sweet. Wind dropped right off but mustve picked up again when Johnny went out late. Pugs was looking smooth out there today along with Andrew and Mike.

I had 30.03 on the dial, happy with that in light conditions. Great week with the boys and sweet to catch up with Gabe and Chris at the Rec Club last night. The local drunk food sniffers were out there!!!

Falcon 112, Evo V 7.8, 25 weedy.

Futura 101/7.3 Switchblade/17 MUF delta

First time sail at Budgie for me - From the shore it looked like it was very shallow with huge, thick exposed weed beds so I opted fo a delta.

WOW what a terrible choice that ended up being for me. The wind was lightish but the 7.3 should have been enough. Board just stuck to the water could feel the power in the sail but the board just wouldn't release I couldnt get any drive of the fin at all. Got a little semi-planing run off the wind but that was it.

Whilst out there I saw that I could get away without the need of a delta if I sailed away from the weed beds so went back to shore to swap over to a more convention weedy. By the time I got back to shore drudging through the weed bank, and also wanting to head home earlish, I had lost all motivation to go back out

Not overly disappointed as I had just spent a Fanstic week away with most of the team Larko, Rexy, Riccardo and Mike making a few appearances between his work commitments. Also meeting up with some of the locals even if it was just for a meal and drink. Gonna be hard to go back to work tomorrow and miss that Early morning SUP session. Cool

Hey Dave, yep it was the new one. Very happy with it. Shed the weed beautifully and not a single bit of spinout the whole day. Very happy with it. 👍🏼😊

ha....ok a 17 delta.....thats way too fricken small man

107 about 66wide? a 20 delta would have been better

Deltas are ok but there may be better choices now for shallow water weed bank sailing

17 Was a typo. Was on a 19 but it may as well have been a 17.

The board is 100l and 65 wide. Either way fin choice was a stuff up. Learn from your mistakes.
