Was too busy to make the trip to Mandurah, but wind at Melville was OK albeit in late...similar conditions to yesterday and like yesterday my best NM had a gybe...couldn't find a nice long sustained NM gust! Plenty out...Jay was on fire today!

And thanks to Paul and Anne for organising the big day out! No records today, but gee it was fun sailing in flat water. Enjoyed my gybing so much that I even included one in my Nautical Mile...Seems that I need to get one of those delta weeds as I sure it was the weed slowing me down today. Was great to give the little board a decent run, too.
And to demonstrate that I had no idea what I was doing today, I present the following graphic:

Joined Annie,Nelson & Sandy at Liptons, first time and loved it.
Big thanks to Stroppo,Saltynuts & Girlspeed for their insight & local knowledge, thanks heaps Stroppo for the fin loan,it made my session
Took a bit of getting used the Delta weedie but by the end it was nice in the 102.
Nice also to meet Shano,a great sail and possibly the best of the season for me,stoked
How good is gybing in flat water

3018 days ago 6.5M T4, 94Lr Cross & FWW - Mandurah (Liptons) for a change.
What a fun day - sadly I had to cut it short due to minor (I hope) sail damage & a nasty bit of wildlife that I stood on.
All is good but kept thinking about the third bit of misfortune & called it quits.
Thanks to Saltynuts, Girlspeed, Kaison & Stroppo for the local information & great welcome to their local.

Got down a bit late. Rigged today what I should have rigged yesterday. TOO much wind to waterstart in the middle at one stage - couldnt control the sail when I lifted it out of the water. Calmed down after about 15 minutes and life was interesting for the rest of the hour.
One sweet planing gybe at the end of the session made up for the chop in the middle.
Great PB Jay.

3018 days ago 1 categories RRD Firestorm 101L with 7.5M T-bird & 30 & 32 Vector Weedies.
AS the wind picked up I rigged the 7.0M T-bird & tried the Finworks 29 copy, this combo was great even in heaviest weed.
Later tried the new 21 Black Project and it worked well in the weed but had a couple of spinouts in the chop (if you can call it chop)
NM had only 2 gybes in it
Very adictive sailing in the smoove, gybing is unreal & then you go into the glass where all sound dissapears, amazing feeling.
Many thanks to the locals who helped us through the day, Stroppo, Salty Gonads, Girlspeed & Shano, super friendly bunch, even the kiters were friendly I did have a shirt on today
