Great day out at the WA SURF Mandurah Marathon and GPSTC presentation.

There was a good turnout with 40 or so racers cruising out in about 15 knots of seabreeze. Congrats to Captain Pete, who sailed intelligently and clearly enjoyed taking the win, and also to Isaac who sailed faster than anyone but was unable to locate the second mark.

Thanks to Hardie and the other organisers!

I managed to have a sneeky sail this afternoon. Had to attend an inlaws birthday party from 3pm AAARRRH. Obviously not a windsurfer. Good news was it was at Woodies Point Rec park. Managed to launch at 6.30 in a dieing seabreeze and sail down to south beach. Only just enough breeze for the 6.6 and 59 Tabou but a pleasant cruise. Thankfully the breeze hung in and I made it.

Pete did look impressed as he crossed the line. Watching for the turn on the second mark we thought somehow it had been changed until, we saw Pete peel of the leading pack when he realised everyone in that pack had miss judge its location and head down to the second mark, and away into the lead. Smile

Regardless, it looked very spectacular from a view point on the shore, as you guys  and girls took off,  the rounding of the second mark and finish line crossingCool
