Wallyworld.

Was gonna head to Woodies, but when Mark couldn't make it decided to play it safe and head to Walter instead (Didn't know if you'd still be sailing by the time I got on the water Birdman, good on you for having a crack.  From the look of  your track you found the speed strip OK).

Wallyworld was it's usual frustrating gusty self, but then sailing at Wallyworld and complaining about the gustiness is a bit like going to an ACDC concert and complaining it's too loud.

Bullet gusts were coming through around 25K, but hard being in the right place at the right time.  Managed it once for a 38 on the screen.  Apart from that all I could manage was a string of 35's and 36's.

CA47 + 2010 6.4 Koncept + 30 venom (now extensively remodelled after some depth checking the run Cry ).

Plenty of crew out, and overall not a bad sail.  But I wasn't buzzing after the sesh like I usually am after a solid hit out at Woodies.  Oh well...good to sail Wallyworld once in a while to remind myself why I like Woodies so much more...clean, consistent wind, no snot weed, clear water and no stink boats!

After a long day of shifting stuff decided to head to wallyworld. Sorry, Pointman just ran out of time for woodies. Still not finished now.

Had to use JP84 to get over from Mossie side. Could have been some good speeds with the speed board. Happy with the result though with a 38 on the dial.

JP84, 24cm banshee weedy, warp 6.3

Wallyworld... Good to blow out the cob webs, but picking up lots of weed with the pointer (often on the best runs) and also found my fin hanging out of the box at the end which described the draggy feeling.

Mettams to Sorrento, nearly rigged the 5 but got talked out of it. Glad I listened, 4.2 plenty all of the time and too much some of it. I think the wind picked up at the end. Not as much swell today but still some waves about and the seas / wind waves were big at times. A few involuntary jumps.

Glad others were doing the Pinnas team thing and getting some speed scores in !

Well done Birdman, it took me months to get over 30K and you do it easily, looking forward to more now ! Wheres that green jealous icon gone.Smile

Woodman Point, Mistral Screamer, V6 5.5.

Had a great sail until I started getting cramps in calf muscles - had to stop.  Blowing pretty hard by 4.30 - good fun - some nice waves to jump near the rock groyne - I'll be going back there again when my calf muscles are more cooperative!!.  Surprised that no-one else was windsurfing on the north side - just me and a handful of kiters had the whole beach to ourselves.  First time I've sailed at Woodman Point.

Well done guys.

So sorry I couldn't join you.

Driving up and down the freeway seeing those whitecaps just about made me cry.Cry

Just couldn't get out on the water.

Congrats on the PB's Birdman!
