Great session at boggy 2.  Had a blast on Mark mac's new toy - 118 supersport and did over 30 knots on a quick run - nice board - shame Mark's gps didn't co-operate.

Boggy 2 - 15 - 20 knots.

Fanatic falcon 89 / 2009 5.8m koncept and c3 32cm fin.

Goolwa Lake, Rankines Landing

2010 iSonic 101 / 2010 7.3 Koncept / 32 Weed

2009 Kode 86 / 2010 5.8 KA Kult / MFC 28 Wave

Haven't sailed here for a long time. Weed was a pain in the ass, as was the swinging and fluctuating wind. Great to be out on the board again. Had a couple of nice long runs when the wind did occasionally turn S/SW, otherwise they were very short runs between the shallow spots.

I've loaded this session using KA72 Speed Reader - I'm on a Mac these days, and downloading and posting this session has never been easier. SD card in the side of the (27" !!) monitor, open KA72 Speed Reader, upload track, click on 'post to GPSTC', login to GPSTC - and here I am. Bloody Brilliant!!

Eventful day at Boggy II. Westerly allowed for runs along the sand bank and got some nice speeds.

The problem is that you can run out of depth and on the way back upwind snagged and broke the harness line.

Later the boom disintegrated in front of my eyes luckily when starting off so no big speed or drama other than a very long trudge back to base.

Can now look forward to treating myself with a new one.

ISonic 94, Gaastra Vapor 6 and select SL7  27. Wind probably 16 to 20 odd from the west.

Numbers by KA 72.

Gusty day at Goolwa with the wind not swinging SW as was foracast.  It did swing around 2 but I had to leave @12.
Most of the session on the 84 then the 59 at the end with no speed improvement.  Great to get wet at least but more fin when it is WSW or SW.

NP RSS MkIII 7.8 - JP VI84/VI59 - Select ProSlam 47/ JP III 36

I need a bigger sail for these marginal days, couldn't really get powered to let the board fly off the fin and because of this i could really feel the fin drag today, strange sensation.

That wasn't your fin dragging, it was your arse. Wink

Good to see everyone one out my shifts just haven't lined up with the wind, hpopefully get out on wednesday,

Norm how do you rate the sl7 fins as i was thinking about one, has the 27 got enough lift for a 5.8 sail and hows the speed and any spinouts,

Chris yes ka72 is great and easy to use but i like to see on the tracks where my best speeds and alpha where which realspeed is great for,

hope to come up to boggy one weekend i'm off and sail with the team.

Smile  just got 2 new KA Koncepts a 5.0 and a 5.8,

Hi Jimbob,

The sl7's rock.  I have used the 31cm in my fanatic and isonic slalom boards and 25cm sl7 in my isonic 50 (almost 42 knot peak) and now i have 35cm sl7 and 33cm sl7 and they are great fins.  Rock solid fast upwind and downwind.  Depending on what board the 31cm is as small as you would go for a medium slalom board - Sam has done 41 knots on a 91 litre falcon so the fin's are fast enoughLaughing - he is mad thoughSurprised.
