Quick blatt at Leighton with Slowy.

I had planned to go to Mandurah, but ran out of time to get there.

Leighton was light, and underpowered on 7.0, but if was fun as there was a kite race from Rotto to Leighton. I sailed out and met the first guy who was 3 or 4 km ahead, gybed and followed him back in. KITES ARE SO SLOW! They might be quick in puddles, but the first guy would have been doing no more than 20 knots.

I sailed back out and chased a few more in, and they all looked to be really struggling. It was only 16ish knots so it doesn't get any easier than that.

Went to Mandurah not knowing there was a race on! Did the one hour race and it was fun!

Wind was very moderate - should have had the 8.3 up!

Hardie was faster than me on all points of sail - I concede!! He was crankin on the water and carrying on like chief rooster on land!!

08 iSonic 122, 11 Koncept 7.5, 40cm Curtis 50 degree weed.

Well done Norts and Claude - a class above the fat boys!

Hardies Run, WA, AU

manta54/rssmk3 7.0/delta 25and slingshot 23

never felt comfortable- the delta was way too small for the sail and wind- also grabbed weed

the 23 slingshot was a lot better (powerfull) and more weed resistant in this instance for the given wind and sail size.

spent the arvo video coaching an opposition team member Laughing

Hardies 1HR challenge, moderate seabreeze, great to get out on the estuary again, struggled to keep up with Recycle who looked comfortable and easily took out the challenge, well done John.

IS 90, 7.0 Reflex, 31 LE weedy.

quick sail with ado and Darryl at port amongst the kiters. Really liking the new EIII 7.0m. Stacks of range and really stable. Nude 57 was also feeling very loose. Have to say I'm quite enjoying all this sailing... I feel like I'm getting my fitness back finally! Either that or the gear is just too easy to sail Cool

Yes! I am on the left in that pic.

Happy to report that even underpowered and dragging weed, the average guy on a slalom board is faster than the fastest kiter in the world, when on the ocean.

Of course when you are "sailing" in a puddle it's a different story.
