Adrian Vos (4142km): Canton Beach, NSW, AU KA72 Link: http://www.ka72.com/TrackRecalc.aspx?fid=21984 Made the drive to Canton Beach today. Had a great sail. Seemed to be about 20 knots or so with some gusts towards 25. Could have used another 5 knots, but not complaining about the speeds. Was just never really on the edge of power. That place is seriously good for going fast. Used to sail here years ago... and should have come up again sooner with the GPS. Used the JP FSW 92 and NP Hellcat 6.2. Tried a new fin for the first time. Flying objects 28cm weedfin. Seemed to work very well for speed. Loses some upwind ability, but is very solid under foot (no spinouts at speed), and is very fast.... faster than I expected. So the summer has been a dissappointment so far, but atleast I got a good sail today. Saw LEO and some of the cockroachs out there. Thanks for the tips LEO. Cheers, Adrian | ||||||||||||||||||
Sparky (3994km): Sans Souci, NSW, AU Fanatic Falcon 105L, NP RS Slalom mkIII 6.2m2, JP 34cm Couldn't get down until mid-afternoon, and missed the bloody wind! To make matters worse my biggest sail was a 6.2, way too small - the bigger ones are being repaired. The GPS died an hour in, but I don't think it missed much. |
