Safety Bay, WA, AU Carbon Art SP 50, NP RS Racing Evo V 7.0, 26cm Finworks weedy

Was on my way down to the beach with the Futura 122 and 101 loaded in the ute, when I saw the ocean at the Safety Bay road roundabout I promptly did a 180 went back home took the 122 out of the ute and put the Sp50 in- turned out to be a good call, probably should have put the 6.2 in as well.

Only a short session today as I have to be somewhere shortly. Joined by Lao Shi conditions on the bar were pretty dam good, I would still be out there I think.

Almost ideal conditions for getting back into it, nice and flat, moderate wind. Used the 6.0 on the 48 with the 24.5 45deg weedy, combo works great across the wind, in these conditions, a smaller fin may have been faster downwind.

Wanted to test Tom's alpha markers, so combo worked well. Found the markers a bit too far in for the shallowish tide, collected weedy coming out of the gybe. I shifted a bit further North and used horizon markers, only just worked, best alpha is right on 50m

Tabou Thunder 70cm, NP RSR Eiii 7.0m Tectonic talon 38cm.

For the benefit of Pepe who sacrificed himself to the disc brake Gods so we could have a shit sail.

It was Crap, huge holes and where there weren't holes there was a 1001 f'ken crab nets.

Pepe, Turn away now. do not read any further

Tomski was out there somewhere going for an hour so did the bit and went to back him up, wind was better than last night and my rigging skills had improved greatly also from last night. Decided to go the pointer in case I was going to batter myself on the longer runs and for the first time every I actually enjoyed sailing with a tectonics fin and didn't want to embed it into a very large rock.

Was nicley powered on the legs of the run but kept gybing into holes which was a bit frustrating, was expecting an 18-19 hour and was pleasantly surprised to see a 20.

It was a fun sail with the thunder flying over the bumps very nicely indeed, thoroughly enjoyableCool

Nice to get out and have a sail thought try a hour the wind seemed enough to give it a go the first 25 mins were good then the wind was on the way out but thought keep going with only a 5.8 up it was a struggle in the holes and using a 90 something ltr board and weighing 105 kg i was sinking and thinking im a long way from the car and this could be a late night in the peel couldnt see tom and thought he must of had more brains than me and called it quits after a few mins i got going with a lot of pumping made it into alpha land and my hour was done changed my rig settings so i had a chance to make it back to novara then  tom turned up out of no were good to see him Smile i wasnt alone sailed back up wind to see alby had waited to make shore we got back thanks alby 4 keeping a eye on us both was quite happy with the results in those conditions

Peel, WA

Reflex II 7.0, Mistral 112, Vector SW 36

Went for the hour. Got up to the top of the estuary, had a breather, started the run back down and 4 legs in snapped my harness roller look. Sailed nearly straight down wind (unhooked) grabbed my spare.........all the way back up.......and tried again. Exhausted but hanging in there. Happy with a mid 23 , as there were some big holes. Did I mention I love this Combo.
