Adam doing the long walk , i walked around the breakwall to take a few photos , wind was south west and gusting to around 18knots , has so much potential , just need south easterly winds

Adam will post his speeds later , very impressive for the conditions and 8.0m Hotsails Maui Gps sail combo on the Fanatic Falcon 99

Canton Beach, NSW, AU SSW 10/15+ very up and down. Pretty Big turnout and let down again with the strength which was no where near what was predicted. Nice to finally meet Mike Thompson. Johnny, Pugs, Greg, Larko, Matty D, Fast Pete, Ray, Jeff, Mark and Sue. 7.3 Gps 121 falcon 36 jp weedy 100 Patrik  31 JP weedy which gave me top speed.

Sailing Club, Wallis Lake, NSW, AU

Pretty keen for a sail today, as I'm sure everyone was.Wind was SSW about 12-18k with a few 22k gusts.Did definitely pick up right at the end before it eased off again.

Had two sessions with SL 104, BP 34Weedy,6.5GTX   A bit underpowered early on but wind filled in with some OK gusts. Nothing flash with the gusty wind. Fair amount of weed today too.Water was not as flat as could be unfortunately and would have improved on the result with more flat water.

Overall still pleased with the sessions. On water today were Pete, Bill, Anton, Rob and Choomp.Good to see everyone today, but missed Chris( Severe calf muscle cramp from Gym) and Andre,Matt and Azza with work commitments.

MAD run - Manning Point, New South Wales, AU

8m GPS, 99 Falcon and 36cm Meanline

Dudded........my GPS has only recorded a third  of my session. WTF gives? One of my peaks was 30.38 but that was about run three or four as I was dialling in the spot, I did five or six runs that beat that easily, with the best run being 34.44 2 sec which showed on the GPS Max Speed screen.. Also it shows that I only did 3.9klm, I did a shit load more than that in walking back to the launch spot alone. Google earth shows me only sailing the very top of the course, when I did numerous runs to the middle and end of the course, and of course it doesnt show me sailing back either - something suss going on with my GPS

Captain Mark, may have to revisit my GPS settings against yours again as mine appears to have farked up somewhere again! This is the only file on the SD card too!!!!! Is it worth having a look deeper into it on real speed or has it just stopped writing to the SD card after so long? think we had this prob before Capt and you fixed it somehow

Anyway - 15kn S wind, comfortable on the 8m. Not fully lit but nice and comfy. Someone on the team in a 25kn consistent monster breeze will do 40 there in my opinion - a mini Sandy point for sure!!!!!! I know you guys think I am mad, but I think either there or Queens mud bank will give some great results this winter now we are dialling things in at these spots. Fun in the sun

Over and out

EDIT: Just a thought Captain, can I upload directly from the GPS, (ie: not using the SD Card) because is seems to still have all the corret data in the machine itself?

Great stuff Adam - I really like the look of that run! Do you definately need a boat to get to it? It soo good to see the team refining venues an approaches, I reckon there are some big numbers around the corner.

Great work Canton boys, sounds like a fun time even if not what was expected. Weed sure looks etter in those shots. Good distance Mick- get that fitness back!!

Bring on the windy season - top of the table for a little while anyway - GO MARAUDERS!!

Well done and Congrats on the PB's Matt D!! Great team turnout for mid week.Sweet Gybing Mick and matt D.

Adam, that's surely a bummer. The data can be read from your GPS unit if you use the cable and link the unit to the PC.You have to use the locosys soft ware from the disc. Not sure whether you can upload from there.I don't think you can.At least you can look at the data. You may be able to also try Realspeed. Perhaps Captain Mark can advise further.

I know how much you count on the data to be there. I nearly lost today's session too, by shifting data to a folder on the PC, and emptying the SD card. Found it though. Good luck Adam. The  Harrington spot looks nice and flat. We may have to visit. Good to see some more photos of the team in action too.Good effort in taking the time to take them. I'll have to see about taking some next time.

AJ, possibly a contact issue between the GT-31 and card.  Had this issue recently and pulled the GPS apart and re-sprung all the contacts.

As Mark has said you can do a save to card (as long as it is reading "card found" when switching on) then routine upload otherwise directly through PC via Locosys software programme.

Nice numbers all round and team session guys.

How good is the Captain.....calls round to my place, takes away the GPS, fixes it, reloads my data, and drops it back home again.....what a great service. Thanks for being an awesome capitain Mark!

Hey Greg - yes, doppler gave me a hiding, biggest hiding i can ever remember, normally i lose 0.2 or 0.3kn, but 1.5kn? Anyway, whatever it is, it is.

Top day on the run - some big PBs to be had there this winter.......ewwwwwwww!

Jamie - I dont have a boat, I wore reef boots and and climbed down the rock wall with rigged gear and walked out over oyster encrusted rocks - a dodgey and risky start to the sailing day but luckily pulled it off without a hitch. Easy in 15kn, would be a biy sketchy trying to do that in a 25kn breeze tho
