It was great fun - we saw some dead crabs, one alive crab, lots of blowies and lots of fish jumping.

Fangland, ran out of squashed air in the end, it was marginal to say the least. Nice cruising on the Lake George type flat water each run, even if I was shortning my Delta 23 to a 22Laughing

Ran into Bono down there, good to meet new guys in the team.Cool he didnt bother launchingLaughing. With the failing breeze and not a good Delta to suit, would have been a waste of time.

I flaged it just after you left.

Bit of a family outing. Nice day out, but rather light on the wind. Rigged big and gave the 102 a go on the 8.5 and it surprisingly works just fine.

Nice to see a workmate out with his boys giving windsurfing a go too.

Good to chat with you Stroppo, another 5 knots would have been nice.Cry

Leighton Beach, WA, AU

decided to work on my gybes today

have found in the racing Rowan and Jeper leave me for dead around the marks so after an intense morning of studying Guycibbs  Cribb sheets i set off to lay down some gybes and as a result did quite a bit of crashing but saw some definite improvement which was gratifying.

I would recommend guys website to anyone looking to improve their technique guycribb.com then follow the technique section

next one for me is the vulcan (not one for the slalom gear though!)...it would appear ive been doing that wrong for years too!!

Sweet little sunday afternoon session. Launched from Dutchies and sailed upwind to Leighton. A couple of runs and then back down wind to Dutchies.

Heaps of weed so difficult to get some proper speed.

Good to see Mark.

Twas a great day for learners, and obviously a good day out for the bird household. Congratulations on your first posts Andy and Lukie! You actually managed to score for an alpha, which is better than I do sometimes!

Will keep a look out for you next time Shaw. We'll be at Melville every weekend day we can when it's blowing less than 15 knots on the river.  Today was a classic learners day.

Mineral, if you don't put your coin in the honouur box when I am not there you can't expect me to organise any breeze for ya - besides at the time I was performing CPR on my drowned Canmore that you were responsible for :-)

Good work on the alphas Jonah. It is frustrating when you try to change your technique. I find I tend to get worse before I get better. Gybe practice is a good moderate wind activity.

Fangy, the best bit was watching al dawg, follow the masters out who were crabbing a bit, down towards the bird hide. He was all good, til he stopped to see what the boss was doing. The little crabs must have thought, Yum yum lunchSurprisedYell cos he let go a yelp and then just about pulled a J act headng back to the shore line. I swear he had steam comming of his feet, and a rooster tail off his coitLaughingLaughingLaughing

Like Firie, sorry about the empty cans of wife bashers left on the front lawn. I brung em down to share, but you were away, so drunk em anyway for ya anyway.WinkLaughing
