Sailquik (29906km):  3 categories    We thought this would be epic conditions but it stayed too West. Course was too broad with this much wind. Gusting 30-35 knts but felt like there was nothing when on the course, even with my 5.4m. Lots of fun though with Brad and Kato. Good to see Keef! I saw Keef flying down the track and next second his board lept into the air and he hit the water. I thought he had broken a fin. When I cought up with him a few runs later he said he didn't know how shallow it was so he bailed out!. I recon it was 15 feet deep where he was!! It was a very gusty, unstable wind which is a bit unusual. Very difficult conditions for Sandy Point. We needed the promised forecase 15 degrees further south. As I am writing this 2 hours later it is still showing Westerly 30-35 knots at Yanakie so it still has not swung. CA40, KA Koncept 5.4m

| Brad (1331km): Sandy Point, Vic, AU CA44, Koncept 5.0 First run gave hope of a new PB...but it was the best of the day. Just got harder after that, especially with a batten broken by an ungraceful dismount after a spin out and trip at the end of the course. Thanks Andrew for the repairs...hopefully not too long a wait to try out the mods. | ||||||||||||||||||
