JP SlalomII 84, Loft Switchblade 6.3, 20cm MUF Delta
In my quest to find a comfortable narrow tailed board for weed fins, I dug out the old JP Slalom II 84. Every time I sail this board, I always have so much fun and I tell my self to use it more. Well, I had a blast on it today. It's really suited to the delta and felt fast and balanced across the wind, but probably a bit slower off the wind at speed with it's high-wind chop rocker.
The wind really kicked in, and I found myself down at windang, so I thought I'd better get back to the car and went for a nautical mile. That was the end for me, right on the edge in 30 knots with a 6.3m. Soooo unfit with my last sail being in May.
Great sailing with Rexy and Rick and the always friendly illawarra boys.
