Big gear - got out early to test the board Patrick 122L with the 7.8 NP combo, still early days to get a good feel about this combo. Used a 42cm Fin VoltII but it seems it is to smal for this set-up the Fin did not held couple of times during hard drive up wind. I have to say the board does trrack well up wind - no issue here.

Light and lumpy on the top half of the tide, but still good! Cool

Bisek, I successfully run my 137 and 7.9 combo with a BP 42.5 in chop and BP 37.5 in flat water. Your 42 should be OK. with your 122 / 7.8 combo. The trick I've learn't recently is to get up speed before putting pressure on the fin. Good kms, you are obviously getting sailing fit after a long winter

Thanks guys, bit more home work but the board goes well. The tricky bit is push the nose down and let the board to speed up then crank it up wind, I need to get use to style of sailing. I was hoping to crack the 70k mark , next time but one key point to make sailing at Wello not to come in but stay out at the Top mark and return out avian for the big K. Just my observation, it worked for me today....... 😎

seeing the Patric the other day it has a pretty wide tail, It actually the same as a IS120.

Personally id be using a 44 but fins are a very personal thing, everyone's technique can be different.
