Exocet 104 cross tush lightning 6.4 ssleading edge decrepit fin.

The fin looks much to small for the job but gets it done anyway .Thank you Decrepit.

sailed for the first time sans booties since Ive been back to windsurfing .Reminded the crabs and other creatures of my courtesies so far and asked for their indulgence, which generally they granted apart from one obviously sociopathic crab which remindd me whose teritory Coodanup is.As a result I will very much enjoy the next crab I eat.

My learner The barbarian hurt his back so I quit early ,just as the wind was building.

Fangys with Pepe, Wazza, Sammy and 'Ken.

Started off after lunch in light wind with the 6.6 on the 53 started off with the 20cm 55deg but spent too much time going sideways in the chop, so changed to the 26cm 45deg weedy, that worked much better until the wind finally kicked in and I was tail walking. Changed down to the 5.8 on the 48 with 24cm 42deg weedy.

Basically it was chop practise, something I'm not that used to.

Tide was the highest I've seen it snice winter.

Probably Liptons would have been flater, be interesting to see how the guys that went there got on.

I Wasn't going to post but saw that my NM would help the team, so I can't let my good buddies down by not posting, hopefully Sammy has a better NM than me so my session won't matter

RRD XiFire 122, Ref;ex 4 7.84m 44cm Vector carbon slalom weedy. Pretty light. Didn't plane 3/4 of the first leg. Great fun after that finished in 55mins. That's number 10 in a row. Only 1 DNF so far, back in 2010. I challenge fellow MM'ers to give it a go. Its grerat funCool

F2 Vento 115, Naish Redline 7.0, Finworks 32 followed by Waihau 90, North 5.4,

Fun afternoon at Fangyland with The Capt'n, Pepe, Basil, .ken. Bruce, Sammy and a few other's who didn't shoot through to Liptons. Gentle breeze at first but built to a good solid 20 knots by the end of the afternoon. Big tide with the lingering aroma of migratory Russian Goose guano make the surface pretty lumpy but a good rinse out for the muscles and brain.

Wasted a bit of time changing gear, leave pass was nearly over by the time the wind finally came in. Choppy conditions - good fun Smile

Well it didn't start to well for me, chucked the gear into the cruiser, chucked her into reverse and wiped out the side roof rack ladder on a low brick wall, spewing Yell

That's ok as day got a lot better, went to Fangland and bumped into the Strop who said go to Liptons young old man. So I did and had a great sail, no cigar and got booted by everyone but that's ok. Looks like my mojo has got up and gone, chop was only a problem in the channel, went out at first with my 6.6 and a Strop weedie untill I started to get lifted in the gusts, haven't had that for awhile so it was a blowing. Changed down to my old 5.8 and a speed fin and got my peak and Nm first run out, did a couple of runs but it didn't feel right, don't know why as this setup is what I got my 2sec & 5x PB's on, anyway called it quits then. My best 2sec was other side of channel, next was comming in where most were going for it, my next two were actually heading out of there which I enjoyed the most Cool Great day and great crew, some new faces again, lots of fun and happy to get a sail in at Liptons Cool

Now, my shoulder is fruited, going to get the big needle tomorrow. Also 12 weeks ago I kicked my toe on reef at Cliffhead sailing which developed into an ulcer and which is still giving me grief, opened it up again today. At this rate it will never heal, me thinks today might be my last sail in WA Frown

CA SL58, 30 weed speed, 6.6 Koncept, then 27 speed and 5.8 Switchblade with boardies.

Tabou Rocket Wide 108L & JP Weed 31cm, NP RSR E7 7.0m

Later Tabou Manta 54 & Pepe weed 23.5cm

Didn't make it to Novara, asked by Yoyo to check out Liptons on the way through, Found parkingSurprised and wind, decision made.

After MUCH procrastinating and conversations mainly so as everone else didn't get skunked I eventualy rigged the kit thinking that if the wind picked up I could at least change down.

Straight up started getting some nice speeds, a couple of squirts into the corner but most of the runs over on Piont Grey including the peak speed which is a PB for the board and the JP weedy (yep them's is slow)

The peak run strated with a good gust which got me into the 36's only to be hit by an afterburner gust which lifted the board from the water and just had the fin in some semblance of contact and control, it was just lean back piont the toes and hang on, when Talky said 40 I started hooting and a hollering.

Had a huge freckle clench when at ≈35knots my front foot came right out, fark knows how I didn't go tits up but I'll take it.

Eventually the wind picked up and the arms were giving out as the 7m was getting a bit interesting to try and hang onto so I went back in.

After much more procrastination I decided to plug in the smaller board, but the gusts were diabolical and were regulary overloading the fin the best I could do was a nervous 35. so flagged it as I was tin fruited.

Great fun, stoked to get the speed out of the Rocket

Vid of my best run,

Bit lumpy for Fangies, but fun all the same.  4 out of 6 ctegories in my top 5's and second best hour ever. Got to be happy with that.

Also, one of the locals came over with a MUF Delta fin bag. Maybe Pepe or SMS09's. I'f you're missing one, I have it in my fin bag.

Elmo, love the whoops of excitement.

Your phone is obviously a lot more accurate than mine. Mine tells me I'm doing 36 when I am only doing 32, so I have stopped getting excited by the readout. What phone are you using?

Heres a vid I took of the crew sailing around, unfortunately the camera doesn't have a zoom but it does have the capacity for stuffing up peoples gybes when aimed at them.

Best to double click on the bottom of the vid so it opens in Pootube then chnage the setting to HD and watch in full screen
