Liptons, 6.6 KA Koncept, Mistral 112 and later Carbon Art Speed. Fractionally faster on the speed board but I think I enjoyed myself more earlier when the wind wasnt so strong and I was using the bigger board. Very gusty. Good pinnas turnout.

Ahh I needed that.. What a great day. Little bit patchy but some decent gusts coming through. Started a bit grovely on the 102 but when it kicked in it was sweet. Thinking i would go faster on a smaller board i did the swap and it ended up being slower and not as comfy so i swapped back again. A good lesson learned, probably because the wind wasnt solid enough and the bigger board/fin combo seemed to get above the chop. Good bunch down there today. Looking forward to seeing some upcoming posts/stories from a couple of Pinnas.

Copped a spanking, Beaver style. Nucular, as the yanks would say. More later, body collapsing in a heap right now. Great stuff Lunnberg!

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Gusty early but filled in nicely by early afternoon. Struggled to get over the 33knt hump early before lunny said pull your track further back. Readjusted and straight up hit a 35.3 peak. Wind started to get quite full for the 6.4 so decided to change down to a smaller board. Lunny was too quick to get the snatch strap attached so new strategy was to now stalk Deecrepit and Hardie to work out their speed runs. Thanks Guys! Learnt a few things and had a new PB in the bag. Decided to head back in for a late lunch. A mid channel catapult when my back feet slipped out of the strap resulted in a broken boom head clamp. Damn this channel. A short swim to the shallows and a long walk of shame back to the carpark. The crabs were busy exfoliating my toes. Just when I thought the worse was over, Lunny pulls up and notices my Acquapac was full of water. No problem I said, I also have a ziplock. Closer inspection indicated that both GPS were drowning, but somehow survived the Lipton drama. Tired but stoked. Of to the windsurf shops tomorrow for more spare parts.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU I started with 105 Rocket, 26 Weed and 6.5 easy. This gave me 34.75 display speed. I changed to the 90's Axxis 278 103 and on the first run I got 34.5. Pt Grey was great to work on improving it. Great to meet Tim. Not good about his boom clump. Interesting to see Lunny's good scar. Good to see Hardpole and Stroppo. Great to be on flat water again. Looks like I swapped alpha for nm. I Learned from the captain, my 2s would not matter so I went for nm. :)

Pelican Point, 102L JP FSW / 6m - choppy and windy.

A short sail, full of problems. After the first 300m, a skid. My mint condition Tectonics Goldwing fin just dropped off the board. A bolt snap, or the thread, as the fin and the bolt both disappeared.  A long walk back.

Then just couldn't dial in this sail. The boom cutout is too low for me, so the boom sits low and my arms got too tired. Couldn't hold the boom any longer.

On a good side, my first sail on this board and the board felt fantastic in the chop.

Lezz, congratulations on the PBs. Very impressive. Your back seems good again. Must be a result of sailing.  Wink

Congratulations Tim.

Nice work Andrew! A second best 2 sec and 5X. Everyone was putting in some top performances today.

So disappointed that I had to work all day. It is a good thing i can't see any trees blowing from in there.

Tremendous effort Jake! A top 4 5X for you also! and a very handy 2 sec, alpha and distance to boost our score. A very nice jumpup the ladder. Thanks for taking some time off work. 92 km in half a day in those winds is epic! I almost feel sore just thinking about it. Can hardly wait to hear the story.

More top 5 results! Super session Tim! Pity about the boom head (I don't like that channel either).

Top 2 sec, 2nd best 5X and nm, third best distance and alpha. Excellent work!

You nm today was only beaten by Tomski - well done!

I so wish I could have been there today. I might have cracked that elusive 34 knots.

Excellent Day. And I did some fitness progress. Thanks guys. Thanks Obelix, anoying about good fin bolt. A better day will come.

Yeh my NM was across the channel. I was hopping to get it all on the other side but there was not enugh power in the sail past the flat. Still good to be only beaten by Tomski mile on that day Cool. We could've had nationl mile win Cool.

Wow, Cannonball! 2 speed Pbs and some really good numbers all round. You broke the 34 knot barrier - I have been trying to get there for some time now! Well done! It is good to see our newer members showing the potential to score some really big numbers on the right day.

Nice PBs Ben - well done Cool I'm guessing on the river so probably choppy, which makes the speed even more impressive.

Let us know where you've been sailing and kit you used - most of us like reading that sort of stuff Laughing

Jake yeah, we had a blast at Dutchies, wind booted to 25 knots, fun to mix it up by getting on the wave boards.

Congrats on the PBs guys, and Tim you got me by 0.1kt would have been more if you hadn't crashed, I only got close to you on my 2nd last run when the wind was stronger. And I to share your opinion of the channel, but at least it wasn't full of stink boats, completely ignoring smaller craft.
