The dictator is back.

A great day in Fangyland. No more hurtful commentary from pesky pond-life Pinna’s and assorted peasants who have been become emboldened by the lack of the Dictatormobile. Fresh from a lengthy occupation of Dodgymechanicland, the old beast was back to once again drip oil and assorted  fluids in her rightful place.

In fact, so menacing was the Dictatormobile, that Huey was too scared to visit until Nightshift turned up.

Earlier, I had joined Jocelyn Swindystein for an lunchtime survey of the blessed waters, but within minutes a big mob of peeps turned up. Obviously my efforts on the Pinna Proof fence fell short of requirements.

First up,  Lunny displayed his mighty fine repair on his Mistral. Apparently he replaced the foam with old car batteries and unfortunately when Weatherman Sam tried to pick it up, the exertion left him exhausted and able to do nothing other than talk for the next few hours. Stroppy also had a crack at lifting Lunny’s board and he too then spent the next fews hours chatting while his body recovered.

I avoided Lunny’s board and spent the arvo sailing instead. I was in awesome form and smashed everybody in every category. I am a little disappointed my GPS went flat after the first hour, but trust me, I walked off with all the trophies today.

I started on the Barge with Koncept 6.6 and FF24. I then swapped to the Vintage Windtech with my ‘foil on a strut’ fin. The fin worked well uphill, was a horrible bucket when gybing and did not appear to be much better downhill. When I got it fully cranked, (after my GPS ran out) it ventilated when I hit some weed and promptly dumped me on my arse. It remains a work in progress… I swapped to the FF20 and things felt much faster. I have no idea what my speeds were but certainly they were much better on FF20.

Gotta feed the plebs now so I will have to cut it short; To sum up, despite a lack of Sludge sparkles and choc bombs, there were enough good times to call it. Top Ten Fangy Day.

Ariived at Liptons after a leisurely lunch to find Ratz blasting around and Slugger about too. I rigged the 43cm board, 19cm 50d weedy and 5.4 koncept. But by the time I was ready to hit the water, the wind wasn't quite strong enough for this combo, so I plugged the 23cm 40/60 weedy into the 48 and headed off to point grey. had a couple of downwinders and was only getting 33s so decided to try some alphas until the forecast wind eventuated. Pleased with the results, looks like a top 5 alpha. Forecast wind didn't quite make it before 5pm, so I went in for a break, which did seem to produce a nice lift, so took the 43cm board out, and had a fairly hairy run across the channel, but when I got to the smooth the wind backed off. Wind had swung straight down the channel, plenty of wind in the middle but not so much either side, unles you were lucky enough to catch a rare gust. Not having enough enrgy to wallow around on the little board for not much return I called it.

Pt Grey was nice and flat, great fun blasting down the run. But the 23 @ 40/60 was catching weed in the shallows in the lulls, as was the 19cm @ 50 when I changed to the 43.

Good to share with the returned Hardy, the flying stretch, slugger ratz and tomski

Coodanup, WA, AU, Warp 7.0, Patrick 92, Kestral 22 Got there early today (2:30ish) and was very disappointed not to get the usual greetings while others derig and even more upsetting I had to sail with others on the water at the same time as me. Good to see Roger back in fine form showing us how to gybe. Never quite nailed it today but good fun.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU. Great sail with Mike, Joe, Rat, Slugger & Tomski. Went for an hour with CA52/HSM6.0/ChocoWS28, but wind was a bit too variable for a good one. Got 40.5 with the CA52. Then swapped for the CA47 with the expectation of stronger wind late in the day. Caught a lucky gust, but I dont think it really got any better.

Coodanup, WA, AU   Pat SL100, KAR 6.3, Trib WS 31 Then Pat SL92, BP24.5@50

Started the day with a trip to the neurologist. 37 injections of botox later all over my head neck and shoulders, if it doesnt sort out the disturbances in my brain at least im gona look dam good.

Got down to S bend and there wasnt much happening, the dictator was still at home polishing his jack boots and worrying how ugly he was going to look compared to me and my new youthfull appearance.

He finaly turned up followed by a constant stream of others fom the mob, coastals and pinnas.  Good to catch up with everyone and have a bit of a chinwag, some more than others.

First session on the 100 was a bit lame as the sail was a bit small and the fin a bit long and everything seemed like hard work.

After a fair bit more chating the second sesh was much more enjoyable now that the wind had picked up a bit. Managed a few decent jybes, buzzed past the dictator really close and was well surprised at my hour with the ammount of stops I had.

Achieved my goal of a 50km plus session and had some FUN and the company wasnt bad either.

Well done guys down at liptons, some great speeds there.

Stretch, you had 3 months head start on me last year and I was still jellybean king 2017 and you have got the same again this year.  Game on.

Well that was allright, wind was a bit late to arive but came in beter than expected. The waters a bit lumpy

as the tide was a bit high, so the inside run was a go. I nearly had a nauty PB in the bag, well, maybe, I'll

blame Johnski on loosing that one,,??  Tongue out  Wink , he happend to get in the way at the end of me run, D'oh,,,!! Cool

Went with the 48Board, Ka kon5.8, and weedy 55/17.5cm.

Also was in a hurry to pack up and left the GPS on for the drive home,,, but all sorted now.

Traks later,,,,,

Its supposed to stop the spasms in my brain that is affecting blood flow to my inner ear and optical cortex I think. It is a form of migraine without pain and Botox has been used for some time for this. I hope he's right and it works.

Thanks Tom and evets, both Sam and I had 3rd best alphas.

Although mine looks to be 4th best, the one in 3rd is ancient from when we were using track points with GT11s, If you use doppler to calculate it, it's only a 24.9 or something like that.
