JP Slalom 71, NP RSR E6 7.8m, Pepe Delta 22cm

Liptons and a run (figuratively speaking) down to Boombas.

The wind just wasn't playing the game today, a massive glassy patch (with wind) at the end of Point Grey, ventured down to Boombas got half way then chuged for a km or two, got back on the plane got into Boombas flat but no real power, did a couple of runs there but decided to leave as wind was iffy and I'd hit the bottom and rocks a couple of time (and we had a reasonable tide today).

Planed for a bit then chugged for a LOT all the way back to Pt Grey, Lottsa fun, worked up wind a bit and headed back to base, still chugging a fair bit.

Still nice to get wet

Peel Inlet, WA, AU  Long sail to Boombas with Peter and Alby, wind about 10 to 15 with slightly stronger gusts.  Grovelled the 4 to 5 kms back.  Got to Point Grey and there was about 15 Acres of pure glass so played there for an hour or so, wind was about 14 to 17kts.  Lesson unless 20kts plus, and at least 50cm + reading on Mandurah Storm surge data reading do not sail to Boombas from Liptons.

Good things today - got to meet the man of Golden Proportions, Dr Cam.  Crikey FNQ, talking about loading all your top quality genetics into one basket. Explains the bottom of the barrel used for B1 and B2 though.Tongue out

Bad things today - I had a coffee with Hardie today and at one stage he kept on saying "look into my eyes, look into my eyes, not around my eyes, look into my eyes  " ......  and the rest of the day is a bit of blank.

I have also discovered that I am missing a FangyFin, and I am unexplicably dunking my face in buckets of iced water...

My first trip to Boombas, thanks to Hardie and Elmo. This is a fabulous place to sail and there’s lots to explore. They even let me go first too, real gentlemen. 😀
