Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU CA sl62 Mistral speed 95 TR7 5.9 Koncept 5.0 Fangy 18 speed mk 4 and cut down fangy 22 I started the day on the CA62 and tr 5.9 with the cut down fangy and had a great time with a few runs in the low 30’s then changed to the Mistral 95 with a proto Fangy 18 speed mark 4. Sailed that combo until the wind blew thesail out of my hands when I unhooked to try a Gybe. I decided to change own to a 5.0 Koncept and that’s when my troubles started. I tried a few different things but couldn’t stay on the water. Had a few big offs and lost my mojo and packed it in. Couldn’t improve on the 34 I got with the mistral/tr7 combo which was a pity as it was definitely a pb day. On a more successful note the new fangy behaved itself properly, no downwind probs and a couple of upwind spinouts in the chop were rectified with a bunny hop or two. I felt confident on the fin. it’s just a pity my sail setup didn’t allow me to try it at some decent speeds. What a fabulous place and the conditions were ideal. A whole lot of sailors ripping it up and a great time had by all, even me😁 All in

Liptons very flat water but way too shallow, and a very short run, it looked special but not Lipton's at its best. I got a 39kt on the dial, but only a 35kt 10sec on that run so knew I wouldnt have  2sec 39kts.  The lowish 5x10 shows how short thr runs were.  When hitting the surface weed slowed down rather than accelerated, and then had to head up wind and ground the fin into the bottom to stop safely, very risky sailing, the stupid things we do to go fast. Would be good to have a couple of follow up windy days, but not much other than light to moderate winds forecast next 10 days. New speed board, Nude 54 about 75 to 80 Litres, and Pepefoil 21/48. TR11 5.9m, mostly the right size but a couple of times was way too big.  Glory Holes was the place to be today, sounds like its full potential was on show today.

JP speed 54, NP RS 5.8m, Tribal speed wee 16cm

Knocked of work early for a change and actualy got there when the wind was still blowing.

First run out, sailed like a scared gumby, fell over the side of the board onto the sail breaking the bottom batten and putting a small tear in the second panel, yep it's gunna be one of those sessions.

It wasn't to be though first run where I sent it got my peak, got another 4 nice runs but my scrawny little arms got blown out really quick so that was it.

Lotta fun, minimal damage, I'll take that as a win.

Good catching up with Stropp, Hardz, Slugga and fairy Bob (the distractor)

Well that was FUNNNNN!!!!!!

Acccording to Stretch about the best he's seen Glory holes.

We started early to give Bro inlaw some user friendly conditions. I put hime on the 65cm board, 4.7 avi wave sail and 21cm deltoid. Peter found out what 15 years off the board, a first try on a modernish shorter wide board, could do to your confidence. But more TOW will cure that.

I was about ready to go when he came in, so I had a sail on his rig to see if I'd done something wrong, but apart from having the sail on a tad tight it went OK but underpowered.

I'd rigged the 5.2 koncept to avoid changing down later. so Plugged it into the 65cm board, This gave me some nice cruisy runs and the fastest I've had the 65 for a long time, a 32+ 2s. Wind continued to pick up so came in for a cuppa and changed to the 48cm board, took a while to beat the 32, but eventually found good wind on flat water to get the 35, wind dropped back again so headed back to the launch spot. Wind then really kicked in, the anenometer was saying 27 average 33 gusts. I was getting too sore to change down to the 4.7 and give it another go, so called it quits.

A good crowd was out going for it. Stretch, Ant and Woody competing to get the best 40. when I left Woody was in front with 44.9. They were then changing down to smallest sail size and smallest boards. Will be interesting to see their numbers.

Lilacs north (Wink)

Wind SE so a new launching location for me. Naish 65w 110lSP, JP31 weedy, TR17 7.7.

Day 2, getting the hang of the spot. Choppier than usual Lilacs but lovely to sail here.

Yeah da Boys! Good stuff fellas and as usual Stretchy pushing the envelope on whether he is human. Thank you heaps for baptising the fin Peter, I was nervous all day about whether the fin would spit you out at no notice on the downhill, so I am super happy you are in one piece and had a good day of it.

G'day Toby, my local is Australind, as per photos and vid above. Closer to you is West Busselton where the One More Knotters sail, but it's usually big gear, off shore and sharky there. Looking forward to catching up Cool
