Melville Beach, WA, AU. Light cruise in the sun with the walking talking spreadsheet Reg.   Same big gear.

Lovely sunny day at choppy Melville.  Weed was an issue as was the standard Melville flooky wind....so when a westerly gust hit me I sailed down to Pelican Point...AND BACK!  Had wind all the way there and back and as soon as I arrived back at Melville the wind went!  There is a God!  Got the Modena 118 going at last but the upright slalom fin was useless with all the weed in the water.  Enjoyable couple of hours.  I did spot Flex sailing in and out over the sandbanks but my fin was too long to stay in the shallows.

Top day with Ant, Shane, Morts, Cliff and Ronnie. Left the speedboard and home with the 5.8. Also left the bedding for the Van so as Ant says that's 2 rookie mistakes! Falcon 56 Evo 6.6 wp 18

A bit of fun footage from today

Boz...you mean.."Back you up Reg!"  My NM with no wind has to be worth a small tick doesn't it??  Of course that ANT person hasn't posted yet so both Flex's and my pathetic old/light weight efforts will all be for nowt!

Rookie? You should have it all down pat by now, Woody, with your frequent visits. In fact I thought the van might have learnt to pack itself by now...

Well done on another super alpha (top 5) and nm (must have been close to a top5) and a pretty decent 2 sec and distance too.

And the Ant delivers as well, great going guys. Reg considering your weight category you can get going on a sparrows fart, expected better from you😁😉

Great back up Ant, improved our performance in 3 categories. Nice work, guys, hard to believe we are still behind the Mandurah Mob... We need a good hour.

In no way shaming Reg here, but it is interesting that if you multiply Reg's scores (aside from distance) by about 1.6, they approximate your scores, Ant.

Reg, on a day when all your other scores were comparable to those of your much younger buddy Flex, the nm was outstanding

Well done lads at Albany.  Gotta be happy with those results.

Yeah a few rookie  mistakes and Ant is a little frazzled but you guys are still

living the dream so enjoy  it.

Anita, the 1.6 ratio is a product of 50% stronger wind, 70% flatter water, 40% extra bulk and 33% less age......mulitipled by a mysterious constant.  We all know that strong wind, flat water, bulk and youth when added to skill and good equipment = fast!  If flat water, strong wind, skill and good equipment are common to everyone the deciding factors, I believe, are bulk and age.
