Got up early to catch the low tide at Ackerstern, it was a massive incoming tide and the river was flooded so had to be careful with sticks/logs etc. Wind was a gusty NNE again (Can't wait for La nina to go!) and about 10 to 20knots.

KA Race 6.3, Fanatic Falcon 79, Tribal SYM 27.  But there was not really enough wind to get in the groove, at least I tried. 2sec and 5 x 10sec were at Ackerstern. 20km traveled during the morning session as was not planning parts of the time.

There was still some wind later so I went out at Atawhai in the high tide. KA Race 6.3, Isonic87, Tribal MK2 32. Wind was 10 to 30knots over the course of the session. Large tide allowed more sailing time than usual but it was choppy at times! The new fin + sail combo handled the conditions well so I kept on sailing with no stops. Short runs ranging from 800m to 1200m so lots of gybing today, yet only dropped 2.

29.496 2 sec, 5 x 10sec 28.036, alpha 19.131 during the choppy session.

iFoil100, EVOX5.2, SB115+650@-0.5°, a bit wild. -2° is not working for me. Nice training though. Atawhai, Nelson, NZ

Nice session guys.  That's the ton club for you..well done. Does make the short sessions easier when you start clicking up those miles. How do you find the 650 WN?.  Compared to the 550. Thinking  of getting a 650 myself.  I find the 550 rather twitchy . Then I've got all sizes up to the 800. Just havnt liked the 550 but do like the 725

Good question, Dan. I have a heavy board so the 650 should be better. I am not sure though. I think I need much more time on foil to judge what does what. The 550 definitely is faster.
