Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU  10 to 20 knots NW,  FMX 118 L racing  24 tribal delta full, 8.6 GUN GSR,

Nice first experience on the lake, nice and smooth like LG just a bit smaller, went deep for a good run once but not sure where to water ends jusy yet,

6 weeks without a sail, sure felt it.

thanks Matt for teaching me the ropes

so so nice to over heat in the wet suit, rig on grass and in t shirt and shorts.

Stansbury, SA, AU 0-25knots Westerly

F2 SXs90, NP5, FF20

I have not been out for so long, but Captain wanted some backup today as he thought he might be the only one out. The conditions were s##t but funnily i enjoyed it. 25 knot five second bullets followed by 0 and repeat. Saw 3 blue crabs and the oyster boat. I am searching my mind for some positives, well, my new booties worked well as did my new gloves. My new harness is a good fit and the 5/4 wetty was toasty warm. Its annoying only having a 5 and 7.3 sail and i might have to drive to WA to pick up my 7.1,6.3,5.5 TR18s and masts. They are stored at my brothers place in Perth.  Anyone from Perth coming across past SA? Happy to pay freight.

Anyway i needed the workout today as it has been months. Smile

Pazza. First time sailing at this spot. This is my best flat water session since LG in Feb. Why aren't we going here more often ?. Had a morning session that was dissappointing (running aground on rocks - munched my fin). But in the arv at low tide, out on the blue line, it was a pleasure. I took it easy as I was getting to know the spot, and first time on new sail. I would say this spot is almost as good and Stansbury regarding flatness. Hardly any weed. I used a delta, but a 40 degree weedie would have been fine. Hucker 4.8, 92 Patrik Slalom 2, 16 MUF delta. W 15-25kt (about 20kt in the arv session)

PS/ Regarding the sign above, it is possible to drive all the way to Pazza, and be prevented from sailing because the Army wants to lob a round. So, be aware of that.

Boggy lake - 20 to 25 with a few stronger squalls - westerly.

Had to work in the morning.  Arrived to an angry choppy boggy and Stash was on 5m so i rigged the same.  1st time on the weedspeed 25 Tribal - these fins are so good - fast even in 1m rolling swells.  Headed up the top and soon Stash came up.  We tried to find a flat section but gustier the higher you got so we ended up cruising thru the middle and i managed a number of 35 knot runs on the dial.  Very happy with these speeds at Boggy been a long time since i have done some decent speed at Bog in the chop - so much fun.

Patrik 87 / Gun sails 5m GSR / Tribal weedspeed 25.

Boggy is rubbish on a Westerly and NWW is pretty much the same or worse, I reckon. Not what I would call an enjoyable session but desperate to sail and good training. Knees were aching from all the chop!!Tongue out

I hear you Carl. The light Patrick board, and free ride sail made walking out not so bad. I would hate to do that on a 6.3 cammed (which is what I should have been on, especially in the arv. 20 kts and a 4.8 is not enough juice in bear aways). Don't do what I did and go there by yourself for the 1st time.

Pete: It's Parham. Up Port Wakefield Rd and turn off at Dublin. Pretty catered spot. Toilets and there is free tape water (Nb/ for your trailor).

Fun fact: Parham has specially modified Jinkers. Sort of like a car, with all it's cloths off and jacked up on stilts. You see them in people's front yards. They are for driving on the tide plains. Pretty cool Cool. This is an exhibit:

Well done everyone. Parham sounds interesting. I bet you're enjoying the warmer weather Daishy. Stash and Carl, I don't know how you sail that fast in that much chop!! Balls of steel.
