el bog, wnw up/down/left/right. Full bogan reckoned it blew for 25kts for about half an hour, prolly right, but there were plenty of holes.

Mach5 6.2, iSonic90 & BPR32.5 Occassionally undercooked, but in the gusts was on-song.

Big turnout. Some unfortunate carnage when Andy used a carp to snap a boom and rake his fin box back by about 10degrees. He got back on the horse tho. Once, pushed right up into the western part of the launch bay, right in shallow I saw a handful of them breech like a pod of dolphins.

After half an hour getting my cord to work here it is.

Fun first session back. Up and down was the wind but it was warm. Great to see people out and about. Catching up with some long lost sailers. G day all 😀😀

Porter Lagoon, SA. NW 5-30kt. Holely. Had a funnel effect in the northern part of the lagoon. "Becalmed" in the middle. Water is now chin high and the water state is like Boggy now. It has also turned into fresh water. The problem with the water so high is fences (which normally don't go too far out onto the lagoon) are now submerged. So, not game enough to sail past them to access the western shore. ON/OFF conditions made it hard to point. Had the company of a tourist family and two young lads doing jet skiing (although they only had a few runs - too windy they said). Talking with a local farmer whose property joins onto the lake. He was telling me the last time it had water in it like this was 1992, and he skied on it in that year. He said 2016 it had a bit of water in it. Every other year - bone dry. He told me they had 2 inchs of rain last night. The ground was sodden when I got there. I nearly bogged the 'Rolla, so parked up higher incase it decided to dump (which I just missed) and had a bit of a walk to the water's edge. 6.2 Bladerace/Falcon 107/Tribal 33, then Hucker 4.2, 85 FSW, Casper 27. Wind became unsailable on the big gear, then went mental at 3:30. If I didn't have to go to work tomorrow, I would have put the speedie on with the 4.2 Hucker and see how it goes kamikaziing over the chop. In the end it got really consistent.

and heading back home, got to the next town 15km south (Manoora) of the lagoon, wind died just like that. It was dead calm until I got to the freeway. BOM (Meteye and ACCESS) was spot on with the forecast. Probably won't go there again until next autumn front. Hopefully the water level has dropped by then.

Boggy lake - 13 to 20 westerly.

Mid arvo solo sesh on mid sized kit.  Had to drop the daughter to work in the morning and out for lunch so got there 3pm.  Everyone was packing up and the breeze seemed to have moderated.  Only had one board with me and 2 sails so was easy choice rigged the biggest i had.

Dark clouds to the east looked threatening and apparantely one of the guys heard thunder but i headed out anyway.

1st run i got going straight away and managed a decent run across the lake - pretty holey on the end i got around and kept going for pretty much the whole time - holey at times and hard to gybe with the lack on wind on each end.

The dark clouds threatened the whole sesh and i heard thunder many times but with my poor eyesite without glasses on the water i didn't see any lightning so kept going until knackered.  Managed many 33 knot runs and had a ball.

Patrik 100 / 6.9 loft racing blade / Tribal 33 weed speed.
