ha, ha Richo, I think you'll find its actually way colder out east thanks to lack of thermal mass from the ocean.  You sailed in beautiful balmy 10degC today exactly same temp as we sailed yesterday on the other pond. First time ever I've seen the Bozinator wear a beanie.  CP2 today was 5 degC when you sailed today in the 'tropics'.   This the one downside of the inland lakes in winter to be sure.    So sorry to say you and Anita are wrong, brain was frozen yesterday, today just thawing out.  I don't think any of us can claim 'hardcore' though compared to many others/nutters who sail far more extreme cold.
