Coodanup, WA, AU. Was planing to test a pile of 3d printed fins today but arrived to Richo giving up as wind had died.  Fangy was chugging about and not being very inspiring but I rigged anyway as Fangy rigged down.   Quite a few turned up and seemed to think wind was gonna happen.     Went out and just got planing.  After a few laps came in to change fins and stepped on what I thought was a crab.  By the time I'd stuck a new fin in the foot was starting to throb, did another lap or so and pain was building nicely so figured it wasn't a crab but cobbler or something.  Wind was pretty average so called it to go get some hot water on it. Of course wind seemed to kick in nicely as I rigged down.    Drove home, pain kept building to crazy levels.   The hot water really helped.  RRD xfire 102, KAR7, a couple of FF22 fins but not very good test day.

Cervantes, WA, AU Mission to Cervantes with Slowie. Came to a nice windy SE and it looked good. Well the day was challenging, swinging S to SE and very gusty but some big bullets. Speed bank was very broad and unless you came in from the deep offshore was interesting to get started. Saying all that was a great sesh, don’t let my numbers fool you it was windy but didn’t make the most of it. Wait for Slow ones post, a better indication of speeds😂😁😜

SSE wind... stoked Boz joined me on the mission. Was windy enough but very gusty. Water was flat off the beach and we had high hopes of big things... It looked awesome! But reality kicked in when we were reminded how hard it is to sail in super gusty conditions where the gybe area is immediately offshore of buildings, groynes, and other non-friendly wind obstacles. I spent a bit of time swimming at one point in there. Got tiring quite fast.

I thought my fastest run was heading out, but no... turns out it was on the inbound track along with the others. Stoked to see a 40+ 2 second there. Peak was 41.3... Got stuck outside near the reef after sail got ripped out of my hands in a gybe (it was hitting 30+ out there), and had to have a break after that. Moved the clew eyelet down after Boz commented it helped him heaps managing the gusts. Sure did help! Next run hit 37.5 heading out to the reef...  called it quits, shared a pizza and drove home.

Good mission. We have some work to do on stamina and high wind/gusty sailing before winter storms hit...

Nice one Boz/Slowy, would be hard to pick that run from google maps.  Interestingly if you look at historical images on google earth that sandbar is growing over time so may become a "spot".
