Disappointed today, should have been on the water when I arrived, looked nice and flat, Boz had a 36 with a 5.7.

By the time I'd rigged wind had kicked in another 5kts. white caps every where and nothing flat enough for me.

I had the 5.7 on the 60cm board and 23cm@40/60. Commonsnese said change down to the 5.2 and 55cm board. But who among us listens to common sense???

So went with what was rigged, and got bounved around, stood up, feared for my life. By the time I'd changed down, the wind hadd dropped back again and looked nice,

Then my 2nd mistake, should have taken the 55 and 5.2 out straight away, might have had to pump a bit initialy, but there some flatish patches.

Instead I had lunch. Guess what, the wind had kicked in another notch, had a few runs, but the bouncy chop started to get to this ancient back, and I couldn't get any speed, so called it quits.

Hope Rob and Peter have done better.

Certainly was plenty of speed out there for those that don't mind a little bit of chop.

Probably would have been flater round the corner, but my fitness would have a very hard time if the wind played silly biggers.

Point Grey, WA, AU cww 59 LRB 5.6 , 5.0 fangy19. Sunny, nice tide fresh to strong breeze and very warm (24) in short ideal conditions that I managed to undo with a comedy of errors. I packed the 5.6 & 5.0 and arrived to a strong breeze where other sailors were coming in th change down.i decided to rig 5.0 and when I did couldn't find the 370 ,mast. I concluded that I had left it at home and was forced to rig 5.6.I didn't worry as the btreze had dropped slightly so I launched and of course the breeze kicked in again. I was overcooked on 5.6 and struggled to get speed. I came in and had lunch with Gloria and went back out but didn't fare much better. Tim arrived and I got my 6.8 out to get repaired and there was my 370 mast underneath. I rigged the 5.0 and changed the fin to the Fangy as it was chopping up with the increase of the breeze. I had a few runs but with all the previous efforts I ran out of steam very quickly. A perfect day with great conditions and even better company. Some speed would have been nice but you can't always have everything.
