sboardcrazy (26560km): ![]() 8-14kts SSW-SW Buff Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU- Level 0.4 / .39m 7.5m Turbo- RS4 ( 111ltres) - 21.5cms (cutdown 24cms FF) Sailed 1.40hrs I had really low expectations..it would rain on me and I wouldn't get going like last time. Lovely! I really needed that.. There was enough to get going ( mostly) although I was out of the straps mostly. The board needs regripping so it was a bit dicey at times. The 21.5cm is a bit small I usually use the 24cm with that combo , but I used the windward rail to get upwind and it was mostly good for depth. I'd end up on the bottom after a gybe but generally managed to sail away. Some nice gybe practise. One really slick one.. Got a decent gust and the 2sec on the run in. Good workout too.. Poor Pete was rigging up to go out when I came in. He hasn't been out for ages . He started to walk out and the old sail he'd just had repaired ripped open again..time for a newer sail I think.. Just me ..happy... I thought about going to Valentine but it was a bit SW and I didn't fancy falling in and getting fully wet..I got too hot at Budgy and had to take my neoprene hood off. | ||||||||||||||||||
Andrew Haigh (51940km): ![]() Coal Point, NSW, AU JP175, SB 800.115,255, 8.0m SW 6-14 It's been 2 months since my last foil, many times I have talked myself out of going out. I nearly did the same today. It was cold and patchy. I waited until late in the day when it was a little warmer. Most of the wind had gone, but there was still just enough. Some sunshine, some rain. Good to get out |
