5-24kts WNW - W Peely Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - level 0.46 no flatwater

5.5m Mach2 - RS2 ( 90ltres) - 22cms Atomic

Got there early and measured 10-20kts WNW - stuffed around and it died to nothing then it came back in.

I was worried how my leg would go. It was 8/10 pain driving down but survived sailing ok.

I went for the 90 for the lulls and I wanted to make it easier to start because of my leg. Very strong down the bottom . I would have enjoyed the 5m - 80 better.

The big board was scary in the gusts and I was very overpowered. Did one bearaway and intended to turn up into the point to stop but I was too close so I ejected off the back and had to chase the board.

No worries,  but it must have looked spectacular as Mitch came up to check on me ( thanks) and later Greg said he was worried I'd hit bottom.

22cm was ok although it collected bucketloads of weed slogging back when it died to 5-8kts.

Happy my leg survived and that's a good speed for me in choppy conditions.

Mitch went back out later as it kicked back in.

I did 40 down the road and only 28 on the water. Wasn’t liking how the 23 weedy was berg bumpin so went in for the fangy. Good. But warm wind stopped as clouds filled in. I stuffed up the gps. Forgot to turn off, Garmin connect could trim the activity, but it didn’t do it properly.
