Lots of flat, some smooth with sunshine and 25C

Heaven!!!!!

Arrived at Boombas to Waricle rigging and Ant out blasting, measure 13 average and 17 gusts.

So rigged the 6.6 Koncept. 65cm board with 20cm deltoid.

Woody and Boz arrived while I was rigging.

Wind picked up a bit Boz and Waricle going out on 5.7s

Procrastinated over changing down to the 6.2, but still look Ok for the 6,6, so went out with that prepared to come in and change.

The rig felt nicely balanced, wind  still picking up slowly, so decided to go in forlunc and change down.

Set up the 60cm board with the 17@50 weedy, this fin isn't really a deltoid, doesn't have a huge amount of area, but tide was going out and didn't want to be hitting the bottom or getting stuck in the weed.

Then wind seemed to drop back a bit, so instead of changing to the 6.2 I stayed with the 6.6. Bad move, wind picked up as soon as I went out, and I was getting overpowered and out of balance with the smaller fin.

Stronger wind, less speed!

But very encouragingly there's plenty of weed developing.

Point Grey, WA, AU CA66 LRB5.6 Fangy 19 Moderate to fresh NW breeze ona very low tide. Sunny too! Always nice to sail the flat water albeit difficult to get going at times. Very enjoyable day. Usual suspects.
