13 hours ago 5-24kts WNW - W Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0. 20 - 21
5m Mach 2 - RS1 ( 80ltres) - 16.5cms FF
Got there and rigged the 5.5m and 90ltres to have some gybe practice before it kicked in ( 15 - 30kts) but then it kicked in so away with that and rerigged
Well I could have had the 5.5m up but it was nice to be a bit underdone and not be hanging on for grim death for once..A bigger sail would have been better for bearaways.. Acres of flats but thick weed , bergs and shallow water meant you had to be careful.
I even tried a few gybes..nothing special ( I grabbed the mast which I don't usually do) but most were dry if I didn't end up on the bottom.
1st and only one out then Mitch from Brandon, Mobsy and Mike and Greg F.
The most I've enjoyed a westerly all season..
I did one slow catapult into the sail . I wasn't in the straps taking off and a gust got me. Didn't seem a big deal at the time but my right shoulder is complaining atm.
Last sail for a couple of months so I'm glad I enjoyed it..
