Coodanup, WA, AU. Huey was playing funny buggers with the wind.   Started at Coods, no one there and the wind was coming almost from the north so off to Boombas.  Looks like a few others had the same idea as Boz, Antman already there and Woody arrived with me.   Lots of road works meant I missed Boz's lucky gust run.  Wind was reading NW on the dial but was SW and offshore but glass conditions.  Woody and Antman decided to hit Coods but I didn't want to return to find the wind was actually what the dial was.  Watched Boz for a bit, he was struggling so decided to rig the big canvas but smallish board...this was nice, managed 32.2 in pleasant near glass conditions, then the wind hit.  Tried holding on but was a huge struggle getting hooked and strapped in...sort of road one gust but now was a longway downwind and fighting the giant sail continuously getting back, was still flat as...by the time I made it back to the car my arms were wrecked.   Then it was off to Coods...good turn out including the ever persistent Gloria but seems missed the best of the wind.  Was time to play with the new toy (well, Slowy's discard, with a sensible sail size this time).  First run was good but the foot straps were too tight for me and just about twisted my ankle as couldn't get out.  Faffed around loosening the straps then got a few runs in. Was choppy as hell compared to Boombas but still fairly smooth.  Then the wind eased off and was kinda cruisy.   Nice day out in the sun with a good crowd.  Morning session iSonic97, SvT8.6, FF22(18), afternoon session Tribal Radix 88, KAR5.7, Tribal delta 18

Same as Flex started Boombas, pity wind didn't stay North North West water conditions where perfect, did a couple of runs but was in the swing to WSW ended up right down the far end, a few tacks and back to the carpark. Stayed a bit lo longer at Boombas than we should have but still was great sailing with Flex and his big gear. Headed for Coods only to be told the best of the wind had just gone, ah well still was good to get a few runs in until it switch off.

Good call Mr AntmanLaughing

Melville

Wind booted around 11 so I headed down early. Was greeted by a solid 25 and flat WNW conditions with low tide! Hell yeah! It started pissing down so I waited and it died. Rigged the 6.2m and 98 radix with a 32MK3 as the wind started to fill back in. Hit the water just as another squall came through around 12. Was sailing up into the corner but hitting weedbergs on the pointer and it was pretty shallow, so turned back and did a short run in the chop and rain towards kiter land for a 37 on the dial. Back to the carpark to put a weed fin on and it died. DOH. I pulled the 128 out as a backup, and put the 28 weedmax in... and waited... and waited. Wind swung to dead west and shut down the alfred cove run (DOH) so it was chop sailing or nothing. Did one run over to Nedlands and back underpowered and just made it back before it died again.  At 1pm it was time to call it and go back to work, then the wind came in again... So I put the 38MK3 in the 128 and went for a blast- still on 6.2m cos I was too lazy to re-rig.

Certainly made up for 2 hours waiting for 2 runs! It was awesome fun! Chop lined up for super long runs between the swells and there were some solid gusts coming through, getting powered up at times. Wind clocked around a bit to the south and it all went to crap with the chop turning nasty. One of the best Melville days this year, and had it pretty much to myself.

So nice to have solid power full speed through swells. Was hitting 37+ in the middle of the river. Great feeling.

Stoked to get some power after a few weeks in the douldrums. Rocked up at Boombas to be greeted with Boz fanging through the bay, looked fast with super flat conditions. Nearly rigged but wind went fickle and swung more from the west. Woody and Flex rocked up and after a few miniutes Woody and i decided to head to Coods with Flex staying to keep Boz company. Coods was flat on the inside with rolling chop outside the weed boundry and plenty of power. Good to sail with Woody, Maree ,Gloria,Warical, Decrepit. with Boz and Flex joining us on the tail end of the stronger wind. Powerd by the 6.3 Avanti,53 Patrick 18 DS.

I tried for an after work foil at Peli.  Rigged in 15-20K but the wind was gone by the time I'd finished rigging Frown

Nice results all round. Top speed Ant and nice alphas Ant and Woody. Impressive naughty for the river Chris.

Chris I was looking forward to a low tide NWer at Melville, shame we didn't get the consistant pre-frontal wind or you would have had some company. By the time it filled in in the afternoon I already had other commitments.
