It’s not often one can foil for almost an hour and follow it with a fin session using the same sail. Northerly wind kept building for the afternoon until finding it too much to handle even the sail on a foil, and then went to a fin slap session. It was all terminated early for all by 4pm by a spectacular lightning display prior to an afternoon storm. Kites and windsurfers in abundance until lightning flashed over the mainland.

1 day ago Turned out pretty good! The wind kept building and things really picked up once the tide dropped. There were heaps of kiters out there to dodge, ended up having a small run-in with one when we got a bit too close on a downwind run and she wasn’t too happy about it. Fair enough, she probably couldn’t see me. I bailed out early but still had enough speed to go over the top of them. Been dodging kiters at Wello for close to 20 years… today wasn’t going to be the day I hit one.
Started on the 7m and the 107 ISO but wind kicked in and I swapped over to my 90 ISO
