Another quick session after lunch. The breeze was still wafting around bit post front and it had a fair chunk of west in it early on. As I was leaving it seemed to have settled down and swung to a steady SW, with nice run down the outside of the weed on offer. And again, a fair old mob of geriatric pole dancers were out enjoying themselves.

The usual, aka AtomicFangy 150l and Avalon 7.0 was the kit choice. The fin today was the ugly green duckling. 22cm with a 10% foil. Surface rougher than hessian undies, the foil warped due to my carelessness during manufacture, and the tip broken off due my butterfingers.

So given all that I was a bit surprised at how well the fin worked. Lovely downhill, but found wanting when I wanted to push uphill, especially in the chop.As per yesterday the current solar storm shenanigans has interfered with all my 40 knot runs, but despite that it was still a Top Ten Fangy Day.

lighter thanyesterday, but forecast said it would pick up so went with the same rig, 55 board, 5.7 sail and 17 fin.

Was going OK, but got a lot of weed on the front of the boom. Wondered why I was struggling to hold on and arm pumping up. The weed had made the boom really slippery, so I was having to grip very tight, but I didn't realise what was going on until I almost had to let go.
