SE 5-15 knots then NE 5-20 knots

Mikes Lab Formula Board, Naish RN Lift 5.4m, Axis 799

Racing at Legges Camp today. Plenty of chaos as usual. Made sure to avoid carnage on the marks and make the jibes.

Mucked up a couple of starts and had trouble going with small sail and small foil. Finally got a race in which I was happy with.

Breeze was changing angle regularly which made making the marks hard. Complete course change and couldn't make the start line.

Came in for a break after 2 hours. Went back out as the last race was starting and got hit with a huge gust and went with it.

Looks to have cracked 20 knots in that gust only a few hundred metres from the shore.

The water is fast up here and the wind has changed constantly.

10-18kts E- ENE Coal Point, NSW, AU

6.5m Turbo - WT57 ( 90ltres) - 28cms WT weedy

I was a bit nervous about going out in a decent E at Coal .

I rigged for the forecast and so i'd be underpowered at 1st to get some easy sailing.

I only got going in the stronger gusts, and had to work at it. but it was a much as my current fitness and ability will handle..Undecided

My 1st run across to Carey felt well powered but it was really messy and choppy . Got 23.3kts then . I seem to be stuck on about 24kts odd atm although I'm not rigging as big. I'd usually have the 7.2m on in that wind.

My port gybes need work..Got the starboard ones ok.

Did another run and this time found a line through the chop. Good bearaway down past the point and enjoyed leaving a yacht miles behind.

I went in for a break as I'd been out 1hr13. I was going to go for another run to Carey as it seemed to be picking up.

Earlier something happened and the harness lines lost tension.. I thought they might be breaking but they looked ok. I kept sailing for another 40 mins doing runs past the point.

When I went to put my harness on I noticed the bar had broken and was hanging on only by one side..Surprised

Lucky I wasn't as powered up as usual..Ok so no more sailing for today..

Funny as I wore my PLB for the 1st time today . Maybe I jinxed myself Laughing

I've had a lot of use from that harness so lets see how much they have improved in the last 6 years..

Looks like my Mini motion has died too. I can't turn it off..Yell

Lucky I had the Garmin.

Only me with Swoozi rigging her wing as I derigged.

Belmont Bay (Slipways), NSW, AU. Patik F-Ride 135, Patrik Ride FR 6.8, Select carbon 41

Another great Friday afternoon on the lake Laughing

The wind was initially blowing from the E, but then swung NE as the afternoon progressed and slowly increased. Gusting between 11 and 22 kts.

I'm starting to appreciate the virtues of a carbon fin, so happy days.

Jimmy's beach. Patrik 120, Ezzy Lion 6.5, 34bpws. Double dip super day. Good winging winda woppa until it got a bit feisty (don't know how to combine file / seems like too much work).  Gybe progress, got more than I can remember how many each way.
Afterwards I thought I should muster the energy to drag myself and kit out to the spit for a windsurf after, or atleast a look at it about 530.
Suuuuuper glad I did. Magic. Zero humans around, showing off for robot cam, I kept saying to myself 'be safe and go in', glad I didn't, and glad I made it back.
hr and distance was better on the wing TOW machine.

Nice work Sue, luckily the harness held on long enough for you to return. It was a great afternoon for a sail!

And well done Tibor, that's a solid session at Mungo mate.

Kev what a classic PB, nice.
