Warm & Sunny afternoon with the locals. Tide was good but wind had some South in it once you got past the carpark, so always pinching when going towards the Kiters end. Thought I'd change down a board size to try some Alphas but all I did was kill the wind a bit

195 days ago Sacré bleu Sammy is back. I did not recognise the svelte version. More Asterix than Obelix, but the beret, and lazy pack of Gitanes instead of a GPS were the real giveaways.
Now, if I understand correctly, according to Sammy you too can resemble some sort of Greek God physique with a couple of simple steps.
Firstly; go to work and smash out 10-hour days.. Second, cut your lunch hour from 9 hours 45 mins to 9 hours and 40 mins. Sacrifices don’t come easy, but you can keep your three croissants for morning tea if you reduce the amount of sugar in your espresso to 1 cubic metre per cup.
When I left, he was debating with Slugger the merits of crochet over knitting and whether Tintin was gay. Slugger was passionately defending his Teletubby icon status. All we needed was Firiebob there to complete the set.
Of course, I had my helmet on, and I may have misheard with the all the wind noise from Huey not really showing up, whistling in my ears.
On the sailing front things were markedly less exciting. I had rigged the little sail because forecasts are always right...
End result - terribly underpowered for this Obelix like carcass, and so I spent a bit of time plodding. But when there was enough to get going, the Avalon 6.3 is just such a delightful bit of kit.
Top Ten Fangy coffee and croissant.

A very short blast with the Dawesville Layabout, unfortuantly I tin fruited my non binary girly boy arms after only a couple of channel laps, I then stayed in the kiddies pool until my arms went limp
I was going to go the 6.6 as I thought the wind was going to be rooted when Alby turned up, lucky me I took his advice and went smaller. Thanks for the company Alby.
CA SL87, 27 TWS, 5.7 KA and boardies on a beautiful day.
