11 hours ago Watermans Beach, a lot of water moving around out there today. 4.5m was too big - 920cm foil. should have been on the 3.7 I think.

Breeze was solid in the middle of the river and very gusty at Peli and Melville. Gave the legs a thrashing with the pointer and then changed to the weedspeed for some fun in the flats. Tried 1 NM run but couldn't get consistent power.
Glad the GW60 recorded that session - I had my doubts as the screen filled up with condensation. Days are numbered I feel ...
Ben was still going for it as I left.

That was fun! Great to see Scott and Darryl as well as the Melville regulars. Four out of five of my best speeds were after 5:30pm by which time the Melville beach bar happy hour was in full swing. Was stuck on 34 at Melville so I tried Point Walter. Fishermen were on the bank so I had a couple of goes on the western end, fantastic acceleration but short birsts meant the 2s was a good knott slower than the 35 peaks. Headed back to Melville and discovered some great gusts just off the western end of the sand bar not far from the birds sandy island. Gusts were short so the 10s weren't great but it was good fun hunting gusts off the sandbar. Took me 100 runs and still could not beat Darryls one run. More summer days like that please.
