What time were you guys out at budgie yesterday? I was out 4-6 and at first there was a couple others on the speed strip and then nobody. I thought everyone was away on holidays, but then saw here. I must have been too late for everyone. Conditions seemed good, but I had too smaller gear to get any fully powered runs.

Usually someone is going pretty late Adrain. Looks like they all ate their cake and retired early this day. 

I launched Peel street. When I got out around 4 there was 3-4 out but only 1-2 up in the shallow area upwind. By about 5 I was the only one out other than 2 people staying down wind and then I was the only one out. I had a lunch to go to which I was up the coast, so could not get out earlier. It was good when I was out. Just could of used bigger equipment to be fully powered for faster runs. I've never really been fully powered at budgie. I'm not good at reading the conditions there and end up too small (and the 89L board is my only board at the moment). Also, I had not used my delta fin since the last time there about 10 years ago, so I am not well practised on that fin. I struggle a fair bit with spinout... mostly in the less flat water. 

Great spot though.... hopefully I can get dialed in there one day.

Willy weather Toukley ( realtime )  can give you a bit of an idea. It used to be pretty accurate but lately it has often been windier out there than indicated.
