First sail at Lipton's then back to Coodanup.

48cm board, 5.2 speed, 20cm@40/60

Magic birthday present from Huey! Gave me a nice gust on my first run, fastest I've been for at least 2 years. (edit, since December 8 2023)

Arrived at Liptons to see Firey out at Pt Grey. Rob and The Shroom arrived, then Ant.

That was all, we were expecting a crowd after yesterdays seesion here.

So Firey came in and packed up, his watch had a broken strap so couldn't post anyway.

Shroom and Rob went out, but were on the way in as I launched.

I had it all to myself until Ant came out and joined me. Thanks for the company Ant I was getting lonely out there.

Unfortunately, the wind had a bit too much west in it and wasn't getting into the bay where some lovely looking SMOOTH resided.

You can see by my 5X10 I didn't get anymore good gusts. 2nd best was a 34, the very next run, a 33 and a few 32

So all the runs was done in micro chop just outside the bay.

I was very pleased with the rig combo, felt very balanced, fin had a bit of drag in the bay taking off but it quickly cleared and was manageable in the chop.

There was enough water to get into the smooth with my 20cm fin, but just no wind there.

Was going to try alphas but the 5.2 doesn't want to rotate easily

Coodanup, WA, AU CA63 LSB 5.6 ANW 20. Sunny with a low tide and moderate to fresh breeze. A bit of a wind down day sailing with Gloria, Rob and Shroom,Nauli Maree, Remery, Paul, Pas and Kevin. A bit less water and wind however I not complain..
