Lake Weyba, large variations in both wind strentgh and direction made for difficult sailing. started on 6.5 gator, then changed to 6.0, then finally to 5.5. Then wind eased again and barely dredged in.  HAWK 99 / WW28 & 26 / 6.5, 6.0 , 5.5 GATOR

Epic surf out with Nick, Shane and Rob. Nick screaming on his new 81L speed machine. Congrats on the purchase. Congrats Shane getting out after a gym session amazing effort. Rob looked a pro. Huge swell and ramps out the back were amazing with endless whitewater. Couldn’t keep the nose down powering down the markers as Nick was standing at the first marker. I waited for the tide to come in so could go up into the kitchen and get a few runs but just took ages for the tide to come back after a high low. Went for a few alphas and surprisingly got a 20 on the stabbord side when I was actually going for them on the port tack but they didn’t count. Was planing out of the port tack ones nicely so would like to get one of those soon. By the time tide came up the wind was no good inside and was stuffed so came back to base. Was going to try the speed board up in the kitchen but not enough wind and too south to get up there easy. Massive 1 metre loggerhead turtle cruised past at the top marker and then a baby one near bottom marker could have patted the little thing. Good day despite not getting many runs up the top in the flat. 89l fan 6.2 tone 30 volt Wellington Point, QLD, AU

Urangan QLD.

Fox 105, Hellcat 6.2, TWS27.

Just brutal today, gusting over 30 knots than back to 10 knots not fun.

Wellington Point, QLD, AU Super gusty South/SE wind 10 to 20kts, to 25kt+ in the squalls and carrying a pre-injury this session didn’t make it easy for me. Out with Nick (who was absolutely overjoyed by his new $250 secondhand JP 80L speed board purchase) and Ben (aka Muscles, who was equally overjoyed by having such a great session in the charged conditions and who carried the biggest sail of the crew out today, a Duo 6.2m2 sail), and also joined later by Rob Neutron Bomb on his 6.1m2 Point 7 sail doing it very nicely, so it was windy, at times! Very tight while sailing in the Wello channel at low tide. Better later as the tide filled, could spread out. After rain squalls, many drop outs. Our figures are all over the place today. Headed in early as I was struggling with cramps and pain. Woody 90L / Aero 5.0m2 / BP25 Weed
