Decrepit (56767km):  2 categories Nice change at Boombas, tide good wind direction good, not toooo choppy and good company. Wind was a bit light but forecast to increase, (but we don't believe forecasts do we???) So plonked the 6,2 bagged out on the 60cm board with 25cm@40/60 weedy. As soon as I headed out wind picked up, bagged out 6.2 was heavy and draggy. So came in and gave it spec tuning. That was a huge improvement and got me a few more knots. I was very lucky to find some flatter than normal water in the middle of a good gust. Only happened once, but I kept looking for it. body started to feel the strain, so I gave it away. | ||||||||||||||||||
Elmo (33491km):  4 categories Tabou Manta 71, NP RSR Evo XV 7.4, Tribal delta weed 22cm. Awesome afternoon session at Boomba's with a whole lot of other happy souls. Harness lines were all over the place as I'm trying out some new homies, Few tweeks needed still. One short run on first leg, quick adjust then accross the nect bay for a 5km leg then return rinse repeat. Lots and lots and lots of spinnouts today easy to recover but a wee bit frustrating as I couldn't send it, so all speeds are square. still happy. Unfortunately my steamer struck again with some diabolical arm pump where I was struggling to hang onto the boom on the last return leg, from there decided that was it as I had had my fun.
