Porter Lagoon, SA. I get this all the time. Boggy guys texting me a few days prior wanting to try out spot X, coz they are sick of Boggy. Then they get cold feet, and go to Boggy anyway. This has played out for years. Not this time. I went super early to make sure Stash went. I would've prefered to leave 2 hours later. For me, I had wrist failure 20min into session, and I was screwed after that. It's the grip on the boom, and the water at this spot is slippery, and was ON/OFF at the start. I'll have to try some silicone tape on the end of the boom ?. I'm really happy with the RB 5.2. This is dialed in perfectly. Horay !. It only took me 3 years. I ended up giving this rig to Carl, because this was a once in 10 year session, and I wanted good numbas for the team. All the gear, and their combos: 5.2 RB, 4.2 Hucker, 92 Patrik Slalom 2, 63 JP Speedie. Wind, WNW CRAZY !!. 35kt ?. Maybe more ?. And too gusty. It was lifting me. I've never seen it that windy here ever. Well done to Stash. He smashed it. I'll post some pics and videos up soon.

Porter Lagoon, SA, AU

First time to Porter Lagoon! Thank god I let Jay and Carl convince me to go there. Thanks gents, great day! Blowing 30-35 westerly for most of the afternoon!

Flat and just long enough to get some speed runs. Very happy to have hit 39 as at boggy that is an impossibility and same at LG atm.

Used 7.0/95l/20 delta in the morning then changed to 6.2/53cm/18.5 atomic delta. Very shallow but can start in really shallow water as mud is so soft that the fin just cuts through it.Was getting overpowered by the afternoon too many times to count but had to leave early so no time to change down.

Great sailing but a very smelly mud fest! Definitlety need lots of water to shower and then again at home. Definitely worth it on a 30knot westerly.

Porter lagoon with stash and j - 20 to 35 westerly.

Windiest day I have had at porter. Started on 6.6 and 87 patrik and 20 delta and managed a 35 peak and it cranked.  Stuck with it for a while but got too much so headed in for a change of sail and board.

Changed to the patrik 48 speed 1st time out and firstly with 16 sym and j let me his 5.2 blade - cheers mate and headed out. Fin wasn't fitted correctly but still managed a 37 and headed in to sort out.

Changed to the delta 14 and headed back out. Still windy managed a 38 screen and after a couple of crashes decided to head in for lunch.

Refitted 16 sym and back out again with a few more 37s and after another bad crash decided to call it.

Patrik 87/ patrik 48 speed / 6.6 / 5.2 racing blades / 20 tribal delta and 16 tribal delta sym and 14 tribal delta.

Alot of fun sore now and still trying to get over the stinky water and mud.

Awesome guys, let me know next time you're going. Amazing to find somewhere that works on a westerly.
