Port Sorrell, TAS, AU. A nice sail with Dave , I was a bit underpowered. Should I went a size up in sail ,because it was meant to freshen but it didn't, well, not why I was out there. It looks good now, Dave

Port Sorell, TAS, AU

iSonic 63/67 | M4 OD 7.0 | Chopper 34, Weedspeed 27 and Weedspeed 31

Wind was pretty good all afternoon, although we were hoping it would freshen.

I accidentally grabbed the 29 weedspeed out of the trailer instead of the 31 and then thought I had swapped it for the 31, but somehow I swapped it for the 27!  So I was thinking I had the 31 in while sailing and couldn't work out why everything felt pretty difficult and I was spinning out so much.  I even had to move my harness lines forward as going upwind was so hard, and I was spinning out heaps, so thought maybe I hadn't changed the 29 weedspeed for the 31.  Anyway, I couldn't keep sailing like that, so decided to go and get the 67w with the 34 Chopper (to give a bit more power) and when I got to the trailer I realised I'd put the 27 weedspeed in (instead of the 31), so that explained the board spinning out and the harness lines not working so far back!

Speed-wise, I think I had a 34.6 knot run with that 63w/27 weedspeed combo, then I went out with the 67w and 34 Chopper and got 36.1 knots and then swapped to the 63w with the 31 weedspeed and got quite a few 36's and two 37's, so that was definitely the sweet spot.  The 7.0m sail on the 63 is such a good combo!

Absolute cracker of a day, not a cloud in the sky!
