Flex (23643km):  Coodanup, WA, AU. Was planning to sail later but also wanted to get some shots of the Granny on the McKee to chuck into the next video and she was a early bird. Arrived to very little wind and Gloria couldn't get going, so a fail there. Also cold ao in the winter gear, unlike the last few days in board shorts. Rigged big and just got going, cruised about then started chugging..almost called it but wind booted a little and now Gloria whizzing about. Had other stuff to do so called it early as Antman rolled up..he tried to convince me to rig smaller and stick around. I think he will get the good wind and tide. Slowboat (54442km):  5 categories Melville 7m 110 33 sym speed Gusty wsw but had some nice runs. Found a couple of OK gusts. One of the fastest runs was down near majestic point sending it through the chop. Gust didn't last long enough for a NM so I stopped early. Was closer to Westerly most of the day, so the chop was pretty nice. Occasionally it clocked around to the south and that made a mess of things. Later a couple of rain squalls came through- super heavy rain but no wind... and that killed it. | ||||||||||||||||||
Pointman (30501km):  Majestic Point, WA, AU Quick sesh after work at Foilville. Rocked up at 4:15 and it was pretty fresh. Took a while to rig, dodging the showers...H85 + AEON450 + 6.0. Got on the water at 5 and it was GAF, and hard to get settled. Gave it a good send for a few runs, but I forgot to pack the steamer, and the spring suit wasn't cutting the mustard with the cold, squally conditions, so I called it just short of the hour. Fourth sesh on the 450 wing, and I'm still waiting for a nice steady breeze to dial it in! Carn Huey! | ||||||||||||||||||
