Day 2 with lighter wind but still worth getting out there.

Jimmy's Beach, NSW, AU. RSOne, Ezzy Cheetah 8.5, 50cm Thanks to boat crew, organizers and sailors making day 1 race day top fun. Challenging course as wind swung and varied in strength. Using centerboard in the the end to get around. Considering it was dubious in the morning, i'm super stoked we got out.

Cruisey day. Big brekky. Briefing, then big lunch. Got to beach and racing was on. Then a pause as wind stopped, yarning to a mate up beach and i saw yellow flag, blasted on down and into it for my first start.

Exocet RF91, TR8 7.6, Starboard Race 1000 - Wind ESE 10-15 knots

Great to get back into racing for the new season.  Huge turnout, good to catch up with lots of friends.  Fun foiling conditions once the breeze switched more easterly and the sun came out.   Water was amazingly clear and blue, top day.  thanks Ian and Michael for running the boat.

ESE 5 - 15 knots

FMX 178, NP Flight Evo111 6.6m, Axis 1099.

Went out with 1099 wing and was way too uncontrollable.

Went in and changed to 799 and wind died straight away.

Came back in and changed to 1099 and was much better. Not as breezy.

No racing up to that point. Course reset and 5 races run. Managed much better when I got used to the bouncy foil in the swells.

Swells not as big as yesterday maybe due to the tide timing. Gybe at outer mark was completely the opposite to the inner mark.

Swell and chop vs flat smooth water.

Some interesting mark roundings as there was a bit of chaos around the bouys at times.

All good and looking forward to another day of racing.

This should have been a real good weekend for me. It didn't quite happen but that was only me. First a bit slow but it did come in and it was quite doable. See how tomorrow goes. Unfortunately l had to come home.

You chose the right time Luke. I  spent more time carting gear than sailing today.Undecided
