Hey, my first post on the new site!!!

It was a great session. It when a long way to relieving my anxiety about my sailing fitness.

I concentrated on staying calm and relaxed, used the garmin in HR mode to keep HR low.

falter water helped, the 30kts came easy, and I could easily get a good 10s. Whereas my last sessions scared me, HR all over the place, no energy after a 28kt run, left me struggling to get back to base.

So I'd rigged slightly smaller sail, the 5.6 Patrick instead of 6.2 Koncept, on the 60cm board to help through the lulls, and 20cm deltoid to handle the weed.

Plenty of weed around, I think it just needs some sun on it to produce oil and we should get some good smooth, that should help me more.

crayons.

Woo Hoo!!!!
First long runs (7.5km) for the season!! Ahhh the lumpy goodness.
Dangermouse turned up wanting to go exploring over the horizon.

The breeze was not quite there to start with but eventually filled in quite nicely enabling us to do the first run just past the platform.

After that we got our first run to Claudesville, Nice!!!

After the return and a bit of a chat we sent another run over there and back, breeze picke up and was a touch lively in places, a bit of a chat then the return send, felt like the wind had swung a bit more westerly on return leg towards the end so a bit of a pinch getting back the last bit.

Great fun, if a bit frigid day with the frontal wind chill, but it couldn't stop the smiles.

Look forward to more of this lumpy goodness.

Good times
