Elmo (33726km):  2 categories   Tabou Manta 71, NP RSR Evo-XV 7.4m, Elmo SS BL 42cm. Way way better than expected, even given that I wasn't expecting any wind today. Late down to Novara, to find a smattering of whitecaps and a VERY large shoreline. Rigged the usual, walked out carrying the gear for ages and eventualy once in deep enough water got going and kept going. Only doing runs down to the chanel marker as although the winds were southerly at Novara, the bushfire to the south had the smoke being blown out to sea, which indicated that the seabreeze was battling the easterly, so playing it safe was the best option. So I played at short runs and was generally nicley powered, was well happy with myself making 15 out of 17 gybes. Nice to be sailing in boardies again. Good times
