Liptons, windy and flat. First windsurf since I cant remember.  Exhilration plus, wow I miss speedsailing so much. But and its a Big Butt, the toll on my body is a bit overwhelming. Sadly, I think I'm coming to the end of my windsurfing days.  I've loved windsurfing for 40 years, its hard to let it go.

55cm board, 5.6 Patrick GT3. 19cm@55 weedy Tide a bit low at Wamba st, long walk out.

wind not quite as strong as hoped for, but easily enough for the 55.

Tide not quite goldilocks a bit deep for the outside run but a bit shallow for the inside run.

Good crew out enjoying a decent seabreeze and fairly fat water.

Interesting afternoon sailing with Dangermouse who wiped the floor with me.

Twas a wee bit breezy and the lumpy goodness was well lumpy, wasn't helped by the extra west in the breeze, but the biggest issue I had today was PEBAB, Sadly the Problem Existed Between Boom And Board.

I wasn't feeling it todayCry that and me kicking the shit out of my footstraps everytime I went for them resulted in some very painfull toes at the end.

We did a couple of short runs just to check settings, then once happy we sent it on a run over to Claudesville, it was lively well powered the whole way on a 8.7km leg, the extra west meant we were quite high up wind (compared to normal) so decided to play over in Claudesville and try for an hour, unfortunately I was chanelly my inner gumby and for the life of me couldn't make a gybe apart for one which was there to mock me about how crap I was sailing.

We did a few legs out there but I flagged it as my best blouse was getting wet with my failed gybes and Elmo tears, so I made the call to head back so we could play in the southern end of Cox bay and hopefully have a few sends there.

Unfortunately with the extra west it felt like we were bashing into all the chop on the way back working hard to stay up wind, which did work out for our benefit when we hit the junky stuff, got to admit it was nice bearing off in front of the worst of it, in the end we got back just slightly upwind from the boat ramp channel.

From there we tacked up wind a bit to try for a few sends in the flattish stuff, I tried, Dangermouse sent, there is a world of difference.

After a couple of attempts  I started heading back, thats when things went truely pear shaped, lost my chop bottle, mojo whatever you want to called it, it went bye byes. Fell into the water, lost something else, any semblance of being able to waterstart or sail, f'ck knows what the hell I was doing but I would have looked like a rank novice out there, I just couldn't sail.

Eventually got back to shore(ish) with a sizeable walk of shame which was made all the more interesting trying not to trip over the tail stuck between my legs and my poor tootsies which I had severly abused all afternoon.

Sometimes itsa good sometimes itsa shit, today I was shit, oh well.

Good(ish) times.
