Valentine, NSW, AU, JP FSW 84, Ezzy 4.2 thruster setup.

Rigged for the 30 plus knots, but the wind dropped whilst out there. My confidence was low using the small gear, but glad I got out there, albeit briefly.

Wild but amazing day of racing at Marmong today for Heat 2 of the NSW slalom series.   Some pretty big gusts, and plenty of crashes to go with them.  Great to see a huge turnout, and stacks of fun to be back on the slalom board blasting across the chop.

Warm, cold, sun, rain, wind and calm, a bit of everything.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Carve99, 5.6, 19 delta. I wanted to do it all but just did a little in the end, scared of rain sqaulls i came in quick and got cold. Stopped off at Marmong to see some race action on the way down. Cool to meet the legend Kato at Budgy and see him slide by nicely. Hat off to Mitch coming to Budgy later and sending till sunset alone in big gusts. Respect to all the racers at Marmong, tough going. Top dogs making it look epic.

Much less horrendous than the forecast suggested.  Going this slow requires a special skill of which I have heaps.  Water deeper and chopier than lately.
