Felt a bit intimidated by the conditions 5 to about 28kts, 30 to 50cm rolling chop, pretty scary going over chop at speed pulled out of runs as chop got gnarlier.  Tabou Manta 64 Gaastra Vapor 6m Leading Edge weed 33cm.  Was less choppy for me than when Elmo went out, thats why I'm a touch faster than him.

Lechenault Inlet SW 20-35+knts first two hours it was quite flat

RSR 7.2m, F2 Missile, 28 custom speed last 40mins on RS6 6.2m

Got down at 9am in time for a big squall and hail. Once it had stopped raining it  wasbout 20knts. Evets showed up.

Rigged the 7.2m and took Pong for a couple of runs. Sure enough the wind filled in to 25-30knts.

Plugged in the Missile. Spent the next hour getting some good runs in the gusts. it was very up and down. Evets called it quits. I headed back out got a smoking bullet and got a 36.7peak on the dial. The wind continued to fill and i was getting 34's. The wind then picked to 30knts. The 7.2 felt sweet sailing broad but up wind it was nearly unsailable. Rigged the 6.2m on the missile. The wind was now insane. Got some 34's and 35's. In the end the chop had built up and it was too dangerous to really push it.

One happy Bender. i will be dad by MondayCool

Old speed board, 21 assy weedie, 5.8 rehack.

Had 2 good runs inbetween 30kt squalls and 5kt lulls, just too cold to wait around for the good stuff, in the end I could hardly grip the boom, even my trusty cuppa tea didn't thaw me out. Just had to pack up and leave hardy, webby and snides to it.

Sail felt good in the stronger wind, good to be back on a board that my feet know well, didn't trip over the foot straps once.

JP Slalom IV 104L, NP RS4 6.7m, JP SlalomIII +10º 36cm.

11-44knots Farken cold today(ken was a long way away today), took me an hour to put away the handbag and finally rig up the wind was all over the shop, eventually got out and had some fun.

Wind chill was lethal hands and feet had no feeling and the icecream head had Icecream oozing out of my nose, well at least I hope it was icecreamWink

Best runs were heading out, best alphas were out in the chop, Thanks to all those who offered adise on my gybing (I do listen and try) worked on getting the legs more bent and realy pushing the boom away and hanging down of it which realy helped with the choppy water gybes, still can't go all the way and use overhand  but the other stuff has definately helped ThanksCool

this was the same combo which I went titsup on and I'd figured out what was causing the problem, again shift the mast base a touch more forward and it gheld the nose down nicely the fin gave some nice lift (the +10º makes it a lot more user friendly) but the board stayed on a constant (and more predictable) angle.

At the end just got to cold, had fun, got absolutely drenched derigging when I had to hold my sail from blowing away when the last squall came through, The shower was sweet, the heater even nicer.

Hope everyone else has had fun as wellCool

and for those who thought it may have been a wee bit nipply out there today check out the apparent temps and the slightly fluctuating wind speeds

Great fun At Benders

Initially 7.0 lightning on Ping/42F2 pointer then as wind picked up same sail on w52 with F1 Falcon of a length to be confirmed by Bender.

Awesome fin, the W52 flys up wind with it on. Really should have had smaller sail towards the end but limited time meant stick with it.

It is a superb spot, with the ight wind direction Nms must be greeeaaaat.

Bender congratulations to Mrs Bender on her PB.

I hope Bender Jnr gets u up early for those speed runs to the bottle, rigging a Diaper 7.8 on the poo scale and keeping that Pong level and flying.

Might Bender Jnr consider a weedy to cut into your sleep time ?

Wow Elmo, no wonder we were freezing, that -1.5 @ 1115 must have been during the squall we were waiting out.
