Great sail, most consistent wind of the winter about 13 to 18kts, with the odd short lull and odd shorter stronger burst.  Tabou Manta 64  Gaastra Vapor 6.7m  35cm weed

Hoped to go for alphas on the old speed board but not enough wind, so tried for the hr on the thommen, again gybing let me down, although I am improving slowly on this gear. My feet are starting to find the straps going in on port tack, but on starboard I can only manage a step gybe.

Good fun with a few crew, Elmo came out unscathed, but Geof catapulted and broke his harness, and Shane snapped his fin off at the base, on one of the many rocks.

Happy Happy Happy ElmoCool

Got down to the estuary and the wind was a bit light so with Pepe we rigged the big kit, The tide was bit low and the snot is getting pretty bad, hopped on the board started sailing out and bottomed out the fin catapulted, on the way past collected the mast with my shin Youch that stung a bit (found I'd taken 6" of bark of my shin).

After that little mishap, I had an absolutely fantastic sessionCool went for an hour, but was only getting a max of around 24 knots, came through the hour and thought bugger it lets try for 2 hours, Yeeeaaahhhhaaarrrrrgggghhhh absolutely stoked to sail a solid 2 hours no stops.

Even better was that in this time I had only dropped 6 gybes (out of 51) Super dooper stokedCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCool one happy muppet. Thanks again to everyone who has been helping me with advise.Cool

The only drawback was that I was under fined which stopped me from really loading up the fin, other than that the setup was an absolute joy to play with.

Feeling sore now but very very happyCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCool

Well done Mobbers...good to see a big turnout.  Southerly was nice and steady huh.  Makes a great change from the bloody gusty shite Westerly's we've been getting.
