Its been a long time since a visit to the Pit and our summer woes continue. Great wind with a high tide and when the tide dropped so did the wind. The tide was so high that i could still sail up to the cabins 2 hrs after H.T. Managed a 41.7 on the last run and ran out of wind just after the dunes. Normally it fills in at that spot. Dusted off some more sails and kicked out a nest of white tailed spiders. Great to see a lot of the Pit Crew out sailing.

Sl52/Ca 40 with Ka 5.0/5.7 and Venom30/ Ka/Loc 21

Best wind we have had for months but the tide was completely wrong. Just as the wind peaked the tide reached high and the bank disappeared. We waited 2-3 hrs for the tide to drop and then the wind had eased right back. Oh well......

Good to see all the Pit Crew out again and people having fun.

Used CA40, KA20 assy and '09 4.4m KA Koncept for most runs. Used 2011 5m KA Koncept later but the wind had gone and those runs were slower.

Mid arvo dash to the Pit hoping the planets would align with an outgoing tide and strong WSW winds. Alas while the tide went out as predicted, the wind also dropped a bit too much. Only got four proper speed runs in. Had to try and remember what a speed board was and how to ride it as it seems like an eternity since I last used it! Damn lousy windless summer Cry

Great to catch up with a fair few of the crew after a longish time no see.

Lorch DivS 63L with 20cm KA assy and KA Koncept 5m.

Nice guy's, Well done.   Gunna give myself another 3-4 weeks before I have a serious crack at some speed, still a bit sore and a bit gun shy.
